Mahindra introduced the XEV 9e in late 2024 as part of its Electric Origin lineup, built on the dedicated INGLO skateboard platform. The design follows a bold, angular aesthetic with coupe-like roofline proportions, giving it a distinctive silhouette from its rivals.
Power comes from a single rear-mounted motor, with outputs varying by battery pack. The 59 kWh version produces 231 hp, while the 79 kWh unit steps up to 285 hp, both delivering 380 Nm of torque.
Inside, the cabin’s legroom and headroom is aided by the long wheelbase. Higher trims add a Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos, while wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are supported alongside over-the-air updates for infotainment, vehicle functions, and the powertrain.
In addition, comfort features include ventilated seats, dual-zone climate control, and a gesture-operated tailgate in top variants.
Safety is another key area, with it receiving a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating with near-perfect adult occupant protection scores. Equipment includes up to seven airbags, an electronic stability program, and ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, and 360-degree cameras in higher packs.
