The Magnite uses two 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engines. The naturally aspirated B4D produces 71 hp at 6250 rpm and 96 Nm, and pairs with a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT.

The HRA0 turbocharged engine on the other hand delivers 99 hp at 5000 rpm and 160 Nm with the manual gearbox or 152 Nm with the X-Tronic CVT.

ARAI-certified figures are 19.4 kmpl for the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol with manual transmission and 19.7 kmpl with the AMT.

Meanwhile, the turbocharged petrol returns 19.9 kmpl with the manual gearbox and 17.9 kmpl with the CVT.

The Venue offers a wider range of powertrain options including diesel and iMT transmissions, while the Magnite maintains an advantage in ground clearance at 205 mm and delivers stronger mid-range torque from its 99 hp turbo unit in manual form compared with the Venue’s base petrol engine.
