The Scorpio Classic is the familiar, go-anywhere Mahindra SUV, that retains its famous boxy and bold exterior that many buyers instantly recognize, refreshed just enough to sit alongside the newer Scorpio-N. After more than two decades on our roads it still carries that old-world charm and a high road presence, plus flexible 7- and 9-seat configurations. Under the skin it has a high performant Gen-2 mHawk diesel engine and a strong body-on-frame, which makes it usable over rough roads and for power hauling, which is exactly what buyers who value toughness and space want. Even with these highs however, the Scorpio Classic does show the limits of that old-school construction.

The Scorpio Classic blends its successful history with a fresh new look, better performance, and handling. It looks bold from the exterior and has modern interior tech that includes a 22.86 cm touchscreen with screen mirroring, Intellipark, Micro Hybrid capabilities, and Fully Automatic Temperature Control (FATC).
It gets a 2.2-litre Gen-2 mHawk 4-cylinder diesel engine producing around 130bhp and 300 Nm of torque paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
No, it is offered only with a 6-speed manual transmission.
The Scorpio Classic comes in 7-seater and 9-seater configurations.
While not a dedicated off-roader, its ladder-frame build and high ground clearance handle rough roads well.
ARAI-claimed mileage is around 14.44 km/l, though actual figures may vary.
Safety features include safe drive with dual front airbags, a collapsible steering column, a Panic Brake Indicator, an engine immobilizer and an anti-theft alarm.
The Scorpio offers 460 Liters of boot space. Its dimensions are 4456 mm in length, 1820 mm in width and it has a wheelbase of 2680 mm.
The Scorpio is currently available with Diesel engines.
