What is ADAS? It’s an acronym for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. Simply put, it’s an advanced suite of features that aids the driver while driving to avoid any mishap or accidents.
With changing trends and being one of the biggest automobile markets in the world, most new cars have started offering a few of the ADAS features as standard.

Different Levels of ADAS

Globally, there are multiple levels of ADAS (Level 1 - Level 5), but currently in India, ADAS Level 1 and ADAS Level 2 are most widely recognized and implemented across different car brands. So, let us know what the features are that are included in the ADAS Level 1 and ADAS Level 2, respectively.
ADAS Level 1
It includes driver-assistance features like forward collision warning, lane-departure warning, and adaptive cruise control. All these features are more of driver awareness features and the driver is still responsible for the most significant aspects of driving and controlling the car.
ADAS Level 2
It is a step up above Level 1 and includes features like partial control of steering, acceleration, and deceleration of the car. It has auto parking and other technologies that allow the car to accelerate, brake, and steer on its own as the situation requires. It also includes lane-keep assist and a blind-spot monitoring system to enhance the safety quotient of the car.
