Maruti Suzuki Victoris Overview

The 2025 Maruti Suzuki Victoris has been designed as Maruti’s Arena flagship, targeting customers who want more than the Brezza but a more accessible option compared to the Grand Vitara. With its launch, Maruti has strengthened its presence in the highly competitive midsize SUV category. The model is available in six trims: LXi, VXi, ZXi, ZXi (O), ZXi Plus, and ZXi (O) Plus, ensuring a wide spread for buyers with different preferences, appealing to those seeking a balance of practicality and premium features.
engine and performance
The Victoris gets three engine choices. The first is a 1.5 litre mild hybrid petrol engine producing around 103 PS and 137 Nm of torque, paired with a 5 speed manual or a 6 speed automatic gearbox. The second is a 1.5 litre strong hybrid system sourced from Toyota, delivering a combined 116 PS and 141 Nm, coupled with an e CVT automatic transmission.
Finally, the SUV also offers a 1.5 litre petrol CNG option that produces 88 PS and 121 Nm with a 5 speed manual transmission. The CNG variant features a twin tank system located under the floor, which frees up boot space that is usually compromised in CNG models
fuel economy
Maruti has announced strong fuel efficiency figures for the Victoris. The mild hybrid petrol is rated at about 20 to 21 kilometers per litre. The strong hybrid version offers up to 27.9 kilometers per litre, making it one of the most efficient SUVs in the market.
The petrol CNG variant returns nearly 26.6 kilometers per kilogram, providing buyers with an affordable and eco friendly running option
interior
Inside, the Victoris has been designed to balance practicality and premium appeal. It offers a large infotainment system, fully digital driver display, heads up display, ventilated front seats, 64 color ambient lighting, and a powered tailgate. The Dolby Atmos audio system enhances the cabin experience.
The use of soft touch materials and ergonomic seating gives the interior a refined feel, while features like wireless charging and multiple USB ports ensure convenience for tech savvy customers
exterior
The exterior design of the Victoris sets it apart in the segment. It has a wide chrome lined grille, pixel style LED DRLs above sharp LED headlights, and a sculpted bumper with skid plate detailing. The side profile features 18 inch dual tone alloy wheels, squared off wheel arches with black cladding, roof rails, and a floating roof effect thanks to darkened pillars.
At the rear, connected LED tail lamps with a pixel pattern and a protective skid plate complete the SUV’s modern look
safety
Safety is at the core of the Victoris. The Bharat NCAP test awarded it a five star rating for both adult and child protection. It comes with six airbags as standard, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and a 360 degree camera system.
The addition of Level 2 ADAS makes it safer in real world driving, with technologies like adaptive cruise control and lane departure prevention. These features put the Victoris ahead of many of its rivals in terms of safety credentials
competition
The Victoris enters one of the most contested segments in India. It will compete with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and Toyota Hyryder. Compared to these, it offers better safety scores, fuel efficiency thanks to its hybrid and CNG options, and a feature list that rivals the Koreans and Europeans.
