Deliveries are expected to start in the second half of July 2026, after bookings open and initial allocations begin at dealerships.

The 6th generation Honda City will debut sometime in 2028
The petrol manual returns 17.77 kpl and the petrol CVT does 17.97 kpl as per ARAI figures. The hybrid e:HEV tops the chart at 27.26 kpl claimed. All variants share a 40-litre fuel tank.
For the hybrid Honda City e:HEV, you can expect anywhere between 22 to even 30 kmpl while driving at 60 to 70 kmph on highways. In city conditions, the mileage usually drops to around 20 to 21 kmpl. For the regular petrol Honda City, 10 to 14 kmpl is achievable in daily driving, while highway mileage can go up to around 15 to 16 kmpl.
Six colours are on offer: Crystal Black Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic, Obsidian Blue Pearl, Platinum White Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, and Meteoroid Gray Metallic. The evil looking Crystal Black Pearl is a new addition for this facelift
The dashboard gains a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, and ambient lighting are new additions. The 8-speaker sound system is also new to the equipment list. On the outside, the front gets a revised grille with an LED light bar, new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and clear lens LED tail lamps. Mechanically, nothing changes
The petrol i-VTEC produces 121 hp and 145 Nm. The hybrid e:HEV makes 126 hp system power and 253 Nm, using a 1.5-litre engine paired with a lithium-ion battery and dual electric motors.
The City e:HEV is not a plug-in hybrid, so there is no defined EV-only range figure in km. Below 30-40 kmph in city traffic with light loads, the car drives entirely on battery power from the main electric motor with the engine off and zero fuel consumption. This is why city owners consistently report 23-25 kpl. The battery self-charges while driving and cannot be plugged in
No. The petrol variants come with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed CVT. The hybrid gets an e-CVT. There is no dual-clutch transmission on offer in any variant
Not in GNCAP terms. The 4th-generation City received a 4-star Global NCAP rating, scoring 12.03/17 for adult occupant protection. The 5th-generation City, which includes this facelift, has not yet been tested by Global NCAP. A 5-star ASEAN NCAP rating exists for some markets, but that uses different test protocols.
The ground clearance is 165 mm, unchanged from the pre-facelift model. That is on the lower side for Indian roads and a known pain point for owners, especially in heavily potholed cities
Ventilated front seats are exclusive to the ZX+ variant, along with power windows with auto fold, remote sunroof operation, and a sporty seat design. The ZX+ petrol CVT is the cheapest non-hybrid way to get ventilated seats on the City
The V variant carries the full Honda Sensing Level 2 ADAS suite including Collision Mitigation Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Auto High-Beam, Lane Keeping Assist, and Road Departure Mitigation. The V petrol MT is thus the most affordable City with ADAS.
The CVT in automatic variants exhibits a rubber-band effect with sluggish throttle response, underbody scraping on speed bumps is reported by 5th-gen owners due to the 165 mm clearance, and the AC system is reported as weak during harsh summers. Sunroof-equipped variants have also attracted clattering noises over rough roads due to improper fitment of the sunroof glass. Water ingress into the cabin during heavy rains has also been flagged by a subset of owners on forums like Team-BHP
