The TVS Apache RTR 310 is positioned as a premium naked streetfighter that showcases the best of the TVS and BMW partnership. Power comes from a 312.2cc reverse-inclined liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 34 PS and 27.3 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox and a bi-directional quickshifter for smooth, clutchless shifts. With a kerb weight of 169 kg and an 11-liter fuel tank, it returns around 30 kmpl in mixed riding conditions.

The ergonomics strike a smart balance between sporty intent and daily comfort, supported by an 800 mm seat height and 180 mm ground clearance that suit a wide range of riders. Optional Dynamic and Dynamic Pro kits introduce fully adjustable suspension and a steering damper, allowing riders to fine-tune handling to their preferences. Five ride modes, cornering ABS, traction control, and a 5-inch color TFT with Bluetooth navigation elevate the overall experience, making the RTR 310 a sharp, tech-forward motorcycle built for confident and enthusiastic street riding.

Engine, Performance and Mileage

At the heart of the RTR 310 is a 312.2cc DOHC liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine featuring a reverse-inclined layout and forged piston. It produces 34 PS at 9700 rpm and 27.3 Nm at 7700 rpm, delivering a strong surge through the mid and top end for rapid acceleration and exciting high-rev performance. Ride-by-wire throttle and electronic engine management ensure precise control, while the bi-directional quickshifter enables seamless gear changes without using the clutch.

An integrated cooling system helps maintain consistent performance in hot conditions. Power delivery varies with the selected ride mode, ranging from aggressive in Track mode to smoother and more controlled in Rain. Top speed crosses 150 kmph, and the engine pulls confidently through the gears for quick overtakes. Despite its performance focus, refined NVH levels and linear response make it usable every day, with real-world efficiency hovering around 30 kmpl.

Design

The Apache RTR 310 carries an unmistakable streetfighter attitude with sharp tank shrouds, a muscular sculpted fuel tank, and an aggressive LED headlamp cluster with integrated DRLs that give it a focused, predatory look. The exposed trellis frame adds a raw, mechanical character and flows into a minimal tail section finished with a split LED taillight. Its dimensions stand at around 1991 mm in length, 831 mm in width, and 1154 mm in height, while the 1358 mm wheelbase supports quick direction changes without compromising stability.

Ground clearance of 180 mm helps it cope with broken roads, and the 800 mm seat height keeps it approachable at stops. Color options such as Rage Red, Sepang Blue, and Sinister Black with contrasting graphics ensure strong road presence. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with a 110/70 Michelin Road 5 tire at the front and a 150/60 at the rear, delivering premium grip and responsive handling. A single-seat layout with optional pillion provision, an upswept exhaust, and subtle aerodynamic elements complete a compact, purposeful silhouette that feels intimidating yet agile in traffic.

safety

Safety on the Apache RTR 310 is comprehensive and class-leading. Dual-channel cornering ABS works alongside traction control, wheelie control, and rear lift mitigation to maintain stability during hard braking or aggressive cornering. The trellis frame combined with an aluminum subframe offers excellent rigidity, while 43 mm upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock, both adjustable with optional kits, deliver precise damping over varied surfaces.

Full LED lighting ensures strong illumination and visibility, and the slipper clutch helps prevent rear-wheel hop during rapid downshifts. Michelin Road 5 tubeless tires provide exceptional grip in both wet and dry conditions. The bike’s relatively low weight and well-managed center of gravity further enhance maneuverability, creating a confidence-inspiring package for fast, controlled riding.

competition

The Apache RTR 310 faces stiff competition from the KTM 390 Duke, known for its aggressive handling and raw single-cylinder character. The BMW G 310 R shares the same engine roots but focuses more on refinement and premium feel. Triumph Speed 400 offers a different flavor with a lighter build and retro-modern appeal paired with smooth power delivery. Bajaj Dominar 400 leans toward touring comfort with higher displacement and relaxed ergonomics. Each rival brings a distinct personality, allowing riders to choose between sharp electronics, outright performance, refined manners, or long-distance comfort based on their riding priorities.

pricing and features

Despite its performance focus, the Apache RTR 310 remains practical enough for daily use. The 11-liter fuel tank offers a usable range, and the well-padded single seat can be converted easily to accommodate a pillion when required. Five ride modes, Track, Sport, Street, Urban, and Rain, adjust throttle response, ABS, and traction control to suit riding conditions, while Supermoto mode allows rear ABS to be switched off for controlled slides.

The vertically oriented 5-inch TFT display supports Bluetooth connectivity for navigation, calls, music, and even GoPro control. Premium touches like climate-controlled seat ventilation, cruise control on higher kits, and tyre pressure monitoring add everyday comfort. USB charging keeps devices powered, and the optional Dynamic kits bring adjustable KYB suspension components and a brass-coated chain for personalization. Full LED lighting and a hazard switch further improve visibility and convenience, making the bike versatile enough for commuting, weekend rides, or occasional track sessions.
