The iQube S uses a 6 hp hub-mounted BLDC motor with 33 Nm of torque. The numbers put it firmly in the everyday electric scooter category, with a claimed 0 to 40 km/h time of 4.3 seconds and an 82 km/h top speed. Eco and Power modes give the rider a choice between the two available riding settings.

The main highlight is the 4.7 kWh battery. Its certified usable capacity is 4.1 kWh, and TVS claims an IDC range of 175 km. That figure is based on the IDC test cycle, so actual range will vary with factors such as speed, traffic and riding conditions.

Charging from 0 to 80 percent takes 4 hours using the supplied 950W portable charger. Also, regenerative braking is standard.

There is nothing particularly radical about the iQube S's shape. It uses the same broad, upright scooter proportions that define the iQube, with smooth panels and a clean front end. The LED headlamp and turn signal lamps are integrated into one unit, with a small visor above them. The rear gets a matching LED setup, with the tail lamp and turn signals integrated into the design.

Where the S starts to distinguish itself is from the rider's point of view. The 17.78 cm TFT touchscreen is the main feature on the handlebar, but it is not left to do everything on its own. An HMI joystick sits alongside it, allowing the menus and functions to be operated from the handlebar. Voice assist and music controls are also part of the package.

The suspension setup is a little more interesting than the styling. A telescopic fork is used at the front, while the rear gets a hydraulic twin-tube shock absorber with adjustable preload. This gives the S some scope for adjusting the rear suspension when the load changes.

The scooter rides on 12-inch wheels with 90/90-12 tubeless tyres and has 157 mm of ground clearance.

Practicality has not been overlooked. There is 32 litres of space under the seat, along with a USB charging port. Braking comes from a 220 mm front disc and 130 mm rear drum, while Parking Assist provides both forward and reverse movement.

On the safety end, braking hardware of the iQube S consists of a 220 mm front disc and 130 mm rear drum, but neither ABS nor CBS is offered. Regenerative braking is standard.

The electronic safety equipment is more extensive. SmartXonnect provides crash and fall alerts, anti-theft alerts and geofencing, while Parking Assist includes both forward and reverse functions. The battery and electronic components also carry water and dust resistance certification.

There are a couple of notable omissions. Hill Hold is not available on the iQube S, and there is no TPMS either. TVS reserves tyre pressure monitoring for the iQube ST.

The iQube S finds itself among electric scooters that take noticeably different approaches to the same basic job. Its main rivals include the Ather Konarc S 161 km, Ola S1 X Plus and Bajaj Chetak 3502. The TVS's strongest numbers are its 175 km claimed IDC range and its long list of cockpit features.

The Konarc S 161 km uses a steel unibody chassis and has an IP67-rated motor and battery. It also supports Ather Grid fast charging. The Ather's claimed 161 km range falls short of the iQube S's 175 km figure, while the TVS offers adjustable rear suspension. The two also differ in how they approach the rider interface, with the iQube using its touchscreen alongside a physical joystick and voice assist.

The Ola S1 X Plus takes a stronger performance angle, with a higher top speed than the iQube S. TVS's answer is a more equipment-focused package, including the 7-inch TFT touchscreen, HMI joystick, voice assist and adjustable rear suspension. The claimed 175 km IDC range is another point in the iQube's favour on paper.

The Bajaj Chetak 3502 goes in a more traditional direction, with a metal body and the familiar Chetak design. The iQube S has the longer claimed range at 175 km, along with a 7-inch TFT display and music controls. Its 32-litre underseat storage also gives it more room for carrying everyday items.

The 2025 TVS iQube S is a well-rounded electric scooter for urban commuters, blending a smooth ride, premium build, and modern features like a 7-inch TFT display and regenerative braking. Priced at ₹1.17 lakh, it’s a strong contender with a real-world range of 90-110 km and TVS’s reliable service network. However, its premium price, lack of advanced safety features like ABS, and slightly firm ride hold it back against rivals like the Ather Rizta or Bajaj Chetak. It’s ideal for buyers prioritizing refinement and brand trust over outright affordability.
