Tata Aeris Overview
The Aeris is Tata Motors’ new sub-4-metre sedan, set to replace the Tigor. It retains the familiar notchback-style profile but gets a sleeker front end with slim LED headlamps, thin DRLs, LED fog lamps, redesigned tail-lamps and new alloy wheels. The cabin takes inspiration from the updated Tiago, featuring a new two-spoke steering wheel, digital instrument cluster, large touchscreen and a lighter beige-and-grey theme.
Higher variants are expected to offer a 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, automatic climate control, rear AC vents and a 360-degree camera. The ICE version will use Tata’s 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine producing 86 PS and 113 Nm, available with a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT. Notably, a factory-fitted CNG version is confirmed by the recent walkaround of it, delivering around 76 PS and 97 Nm.
Tata is also set to introduce an electric Aeris, which is likely to use battery options from the Tiago EV. The Aeris launches on 25 September 2026 and will rival the Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Honda Amaze.
