Best Sedans Under ₹10 Lakh in 2026

The sub-four-metre sedan segment, ever since its origin, has remained fairly popular over the years, offering a good mix of space, features, and efficiency for budget buyers. These models suit families and daily commuters who want more space and comfort but at the price of a hatchback. 

Below are four sedans with a wide variety of variants that are priced under ₹10 lakh ex-showroom.

Maruti Dzire

The Maruti Dzire is inarguably the most popular sedan on this list. It comes in four main variants, LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+, and eleven total variants including AMT and CNG options. The CNG can also be paired with the AGS automatic.

Powertrain options include a 1.2-litre petrol engine with around 80 bhp and 111.7 Nm torque. The CNG mode gives lower output. Transmission options include a five-speed manual or an AGS (AMT).

The CNG automatic claims 36.47 km/kg, which is higher than the CNG manual's 33.73 km/kg and the best figure for any automatic CNG car in India.

Standard safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, and TPMS. It holds a five-star rating from both Global NCAP and Bharat NCAP.

The ZXi Plus variant adds a nine-inch touchscreen, 360-degree camera, electric sunroof, cruise control, automatic climate control, and LED lights.

Hyundai Aura

The Hyundai Aura offers six major variants, including E, Corporate, S, SX, SX (O), and SX+.

It is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 82 bhp and similar torque, or a CNG option with 68 bhp. Gearboxes include a five-speed manual or automated manual.

Standard safety includes six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, ESP, and hill-start assist. 

Top-end variants like SX Plus add premium features like cruise control, an eight-inch touchscreen with wireless connectivity, a wireless charger, push-button start, and 15-inch alloy wheels.

Tata Aeris

Above prices are in Ex-showroom / On-road (New Delhi).

The Tata Aeris replaced the Tigor and comes in five trims, Smart, Pure, Pure+, Creative and Accomplished. Every one of its 18 variants sits under ₹10 lakh ex-showroom.

It uses the Tigor's 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol, making 86 PS and 113 Nm, or 75.5 PS and 96.5 Nm on CNG. Both fuels come with a five-speed manual or AMT.

The CNG version keeps Tata's twin-cylinder layout under the boot floor, so some luggage space remains. The petrol boot is 419 litres, the biggest of the four sedans on this list.

Six airbags, ABS with EBD and ISOFIX are standard, with ESP added from the Pure+ trim. The Aeris has not been crash tested yet, so the Tigor's four-star Global NCAP rating does not carry over.

The Creative adds a 26.03 cm touchscreen, a 360-degree camera and automatic climate control. The top Accomplished brings ventilated leatherette seats, a dashcam recorder and a wireless charger.

Honda Amaze

The third-generation Honda Amaze comes in three main variants, including V, VX, and ZX, with Elite Pack options on select VX variants.

The Amaze is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine with 89 bhp and 110 Nm torque, paired with a five-speed manual or CVT automatic.

Standard safety features consist of six airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, vehicle stability assist, and hill hold control. It boasts a five-star Bharat NCAP rating and is the only sedan in this segment featuring Level 2 ADAS.

Top trims like the ZX offer an eight-inch infotainment display, automatic climate control with rear vents, wireless charger, LaneWatch camera, LED projector lamps, and cruise control.

Although the final on-road prices for top-end variants of the Dzire and Amaze exceed the ₹10 lakh mark, they are worth the extra amount spent. But for those who have a strictly ₹10 lakh budget cap, the Dzire ZXi and Amaze V variants are value-packed, with automatic options on both accessible within reach.
