The sub-four-metre sedan segment, ever since its origin, has remained fairly popular over the years, offering a good mix of space, features, and efficiency for budget buyers. These models suit families and daily commuters who want more space and comfort but at the price of a hatchback.
Below are four sedans with a wide variety of variants that are priced under ₹10 lakh ex-showroom.

The Maruti Dzire is inarguably the most popular sedan on this list. It comes in four main variants (LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+), and nine total variants, including AMT and CNG options.
Powertrain options include a 1.2-litre petrol engine with around 80 bhp and 111.7 Nm torque. The CNG mode gives lower output. Transmission options include a five-speed manual or an AGS (AMT).
Standard safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, and TPMS. It holds a five-star rating from both Global NCAP and Bharat NCAP.

Top trims like the ZX offer an eight-inch infotainment display, automatic climate control with rear vents, wireless charger, LaneWatch camera, LED projector lamps, and cruise control.
Although the final on-road prices for top-end variants of the Dzire and Amaze exceed the ₹10 lakh mark, they are worth the extra amount spent. But for those who have a strictly ₹10 lakh budget cap, the Dzire ZXi and Amaze V variants are value-packed, with automatic options on both accessible within reach.
