Renault has remained on the quiet front for some time now, with updates only limited to facelifts of its already small portfolio of budget-friendly cars. To address this, Renault has announced its "futuREady India" strategic plan, with the aim to make India one of its top three global markets by 2030.
As part of the roadmap, the brand will launch seven models in total, This includes updated versions of its existing models, namely the Duster that launched earlier this year, Triber, Kiger and Kwid, plus three fresh ones - the Bigster which will be the larger 7-seater version of the Duster, the Bridger and its fully electric variant.
Meanwhile, the new entrants will get multiple powertrain options, including petrol, CNG, strong hybrids and even full electrics, spread across two new platforms as well, the RGEP and RGMP.
Here's everything you need to know:
New Platforms

Moving forward, Renault will replace its current CMF-A platform with the new RGEP (Renault Group Entry Platform), which will be mainly for their entry level models. This means that even the most affordable cars in their upcoming lineup are going to see benefits from the brand's more modern engineering.
The RGMP (Renault Group Modular Platform) meanwhile, is meant to be highly flexible, meaning that it is designed from scratch to handle petrol, CNG, hybrid and fully electric powertrains easily.
This architecture will continue on Renault's larger segment vehicles, as already seen on the new Duster, and will be used on the Bridger and Bigster, the Duster's larger 7-seater version.
Renault Triber and Kiger

The Renault Kiger and Triber will receive major updates and will shift to the new RGEP platform. Expect fresher looks, and improved interiors - that would likely feature larger touchscreens displays, improved connectivity and in-car technology, and some other conveniences.
The Triber meanwhile, is expected to get a new turbo-petrol engine, along with an underbody CNG version, so that you don't lose boot space.
Renault Bigster

If you’ve been waiting for a proper 7-seater from Renault or liked the new Duster but wanted more space inside, good news is that the Bigster, with three-row, has been spotted testing on the Indian roads.
It will be built on the same RGMP platform as the new Duster and is expected to get major overhauls both inside and outside.
It is expected to arrive in late 2026 or early 2027.

Renault Bridger

The upcoming Bridger will be based on the RGMP platform, and is expected to carry a new 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, get retro inspired design and more interior space compared to the Kiger.
Along with this, it will come in an all electric version as well, becoming the first model for the company to get an EV version.

What this means for you
For you, this means that you will be getting multi-engine choices, better built and more advanced Renault cars.
However, perhaps the biggest news is that Renault is offering a 3-year or 1,00,000 km warranty, plus an additional warranty under the Renault Forever program that can extend coverage up to 7 years or 1,50,000 km (whichever is earlier), provided you do annual/periodic servicing at authorized Renault dealerships.
If you are worried about getting a new EV or hybrid in the future, this might give you a huge confidence boost in trying their lineup.
