Renault India has just teased its new show-car, the Bridger Concept, ahead of a full unveiling on 10 March.
This compact urban SUV is part of the brand’s bigger push into international markets, with India playing a central role.
The Bridger Concept will be an urban vehicle with fresh proportions. Despite measuring under four metres long, Renault promises generous interior space, making it practical for growing families.

This SUV will be designed and developed in India, and is expected to sit alongside the Kiger in Renault’s line-up.

Teaser images give a strong hint of what is coming.
The design looks rugged and boxy, with clear nods to classic off-roaders. A spare wheel mounted on the tailgate adds a tough, adventure-ready touch, while illuminated Renault lettering on the front gives it a bold, modern face.
The Bridger would be the fourth mass-market SUV featuring a rear-mounted spare tyre, joining the likes of the Mahindra Thar, Maruti Jimny, and Force Gurkha.
Muscular lines and a confident stance suggest it will stand out in the crowded sub-four-metre SUV segment, offering a lifestyle appeal that blends city driving with light off-road capability.

The name Bridger draws from the English word “bridge”, with “ER” added to match Renault’s naming family, which includes the Duster.

Powertrain options are still under wraps, but it may borrow the Kiger’s efficient 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine (99 bhp, 150/160 Nm), paired to a 5-speed manual or a CVT to keep things affordable and reliable.
Complete details, including the exterior and interior design, as well as more information on features, dimensions, and powertrains, should be revealed during the concept's official reveal on March 10.
Renault is expected to launch the production-ready model around 2028.
