TVS Motor Company has taken a step toward electric bikes by filing a design patent in India for its first electric motorcycle - the eFX 3O. TVS aims to venture into electric motorcycles after tasting success with the iQube scooter. The concept version debuted at the EICMA 2025 show in Milan, and the patent suggests that TVS could begin production plans soon.
The concept eFX 3O was seen sporting a bold naked streetfighter look with sharp body lines and an aerodynamic shape. Key elements included a slim rectangular LED headlight with angular C-shaped daytime running lights, golden upside-down front forks, a monoshock rear suspension, and a partially visible battery under the rider. It featured low handlebars for an aggressive riding position, a single seat, tank extensions for better airflow, petal disc brakes, and a digital instrument panel. The rear used a solid disc wheel, while the front had spokes, adding to its modern appeal.
The production version is expected to retain the majority of these design elements. While full specs remain under wraps, the bike may include a large TFT display with smartphone connectivity and advanced safety aids like blind spot detection, collision alerts, and emergency braking. Many of the features in the concept were borrowed from the Apache RTR 310, and will likely be adapted to the eFX 3O.
The eFX 3O’s electric setup could offer a range of 250 to 300 km per charge, with performance matching a 200cc petrol bike. Options for extra battery modules could be offered to extend the range.
TVS plans to roll out the eFX 3O in India by late 2026 or 2027, with prices likely between ₹2 lakh and ₹3 lakh (ex-showroom). It will challenge models like the Ultraviolette F77 and Ola Roadster in the growing EV two-wheeler segment.
