Hyundai Creta, Alcazar and Creta Electric Lounge Edition Launched, Prices Start at Rs 19.21 Lakh

Hyundai has launched the Lounge Edition across three of its most popular SUVs, the Creta, Alcazar, and Creta Electric. Prices start at Rs 19.21 lakh for the Creta Lounge, Rs 21.80 lakh for the Alcazar Lounge, and Rs 24.34 lakh for the Creta Electric Lounge (all ex-showroom).

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Amit Dhaundiyal, Head of Product Strategy and Planning at HMIL, said the Lounge Edition was built around customers who want more than just transportation, with rear-seat comfort and entertainment as the primary focus.

What Is Common Across All Three

The headline addition across all three is an 11.6-inch Rear Seat Entertainment System (RSE), which supports OTT streaming, interactive gaming, a certified app store, phone mirroring, and video playback. It pairs with the existing Bose Premium Sound system with eight speakers, a front central speaker, and a subwoofer.

On the styling side, all three cars share a Lounge-exclusive interior theme with silver-coloured inserts, Moonwhite ambient lighting, a new seat design pattern, and rear headrest cushions with Lounge branding.

Outside, they all get a new Golden Bronze colour option alongside blacked-out skid plates, spoiler, roof rails, and ORVMs. The DT variants add a dual-tone black roof.

Creta Lounge Edition

The Creta Lounge is based on the King trim and is offered with either the 1.5-litre petrol iVT or the 1.5-litre diesel AT. It adds R18 Matte Black alloys as the one exterior detail specific to this model.

Alcazar Lounge Edition

The Alcazar Lounge is the most distinctive of the three. It comes with an exclusive five-seater lounge configuration that rearranges the second-row seating for a more open, rear-focused layout.

It is also the only Lounge variant here to get a voice-enabled smart panoramic sunroof. It is based on the Signature variant and is available only with the 1.5-litre diesel AT.

Creta Electric Lounge Edition

The Creta Electric Lounge is based on the Excellence Long Range variant and comes with the Home Charger option. It uniquely adds a dashcam and a rear wireless charger over what the other two Lounge models offer.

The alloys here are R17 Black aero units, unlike the R18s on the ICE models.

Ex-showroom Prices

The Lounge Edition bundles rear-seat entertainment and styling upgrades onto existing top-spec trims. Whether it justifies the premium over the standard King or Excellence variants will depend on how often your back-seat passengers actually use the RSE.

Rivals

The Creta and Alcazar Lounge Editions go up against the Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Renault Duster, Volkswagen Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq.

None of these currently offer a dedicated rear-seat entertainment system as a variant-level addition, which is arguably the most tangible differentiator the Lounge Edition brings to the table.

The Creta Electric Lounge, meanwhile, competes with the Tata Curvv EV and MG ZS EV at its price point.
