Hyundai Expands EV Charging Network With 120kW Delhi Stations, Plans to Hit 600 Stations by 2030

On World EV Day 2026, Hyundai India has inaugurated 120 kW DC fast-charging stations at key locations across New Delhi, set up in partnership with Statiq and accessible through the myHyundai app.

All Hyundai EV owners get free charging at HMIL-owned public stations from 9 to 11 September 2026 when booked through the app.

Mr. Tarun Garg, MD & CEO, HMIL, said,

“By expanding our network of EV chargers, EV-ready sales and service touchpoints, investing in specialised infrastructure and systematically training our dealership teams, we aim to make the transition to electric mobility convenient, dependable and rewarding.”

Hyundai currently operates 185 DC fast-charging stations across 105 cities, with outputs ranging from 60 kW to 240 kW. The plan is to scale this to 600 stations by 2030, covering cities, highways and Hyundai dealerships.

Through the myHyundai app, owners can also access over 38,000 third-party charging points via partnerships with multiple charge point operators. The app is open to EV owners of any brand.

Dealer and Service Network Gets a Push Before the Next EV

Over 10,000 sales personnel have been trained so far, with a target of 17,000 by end of FY26-27. On the service side, 2,600 dealership technicians are already trained, with 5,000 more to be added by the same deadline. Hyundai has clocked roughly 16,000 person-days of EV service training and invested around Rs 2 crore in upgrading its training centres.

The company also plans to expand its EV-ready sales touchpoints to 820 and its workshops to 650 by FY26-27.

Hyundai has confirmed it will launch a localised, mass-market SUV EV built on a dedicated EV platform soon, joining the CRETA Electric and IONIQ 5 in its India lineup.

Getting the dealer network ready before the car arrives is the smarter move, and Hyundai seems aware of that.
