Hero MotoCorp Ltd

Hero’s CY2025 volume of 58,23,063 units is anchored by evergreen commuters like the Splendor, HF Deluxe and Passion. The Splendor remains India’s highest-selling motorcycle and continues to be the backbone of Hero’s dominance in rural and semi-urban markets.

Consistent fuel efficiency, low ownership costs and unmatched service reach keep demand stable even in weak market cycles. Incremental updates rather than radical changes help Hero protect volumes, while strong institutional and repeat buying ensures leadership despite slight market share softening.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (P) Ltd

Honda’s 50,37,953 units in CY2025 are driven primarily by Activa, which remains the single best-selling scooter in the country. The Shine and Dio further strengthen Honda’s hold in both motorcycle and scooter segments.

TVS Motor Company Ltd

TVS recorded strong growth to 37,88,459 units in CY2025, led by Apache RTR series, Jupiter, iQUBE and XL100. The Apache continues to attract young buyers seeking performance at accessible prices, while Jupiter delivers consistent scooter volumes across age groups. XL100 remains critical in rural and utility usage.

Bajaj Auto Group

Bajaj Pulsar 150

Bajaj’s 21,55,166 units in CY2025 are largely powered by Pulsar, Platina and CT series motorcycles. Pulsar remains one of India’s most recognised sporty commuter brands, while Platina and CT drive rural and mileage-focused demand.

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd

Suzuki sold 10,97,838 units in CY2025, with Access 125 being its clear volume driver. The scooter enjoys strong demand due to refined engines, comfort and premium perception. Gixxer and Burgman contribute smaller but stable numbers in motorcycles and maxi-scooters.

Royal Enfield (Unit of Eicher Ltd)

Royal Enfield Classic

Royal Enfield’s CY2025 sales of 10,34,155 units are led by Classic 350, Bullet 350 and Hunter 350. The Classic remains the brand’s best seller, combining heritage styling with modern engineering. Royal Enfield benefits from lifestyle appeal rather than price competition, attracting buyers upgrading from commuters.

India Yamaha Motor Pvt Ltd

Yamaha sold 6,76,555 units in CY2025, driven mainly by Fascino, RayZR and MT-15. The RayZR has become Yamaha’s strongest scooter performer, while MT-15 and R15 continue to attract sporty motorcycle buyers. Yamaha’s focus on design, handling and youthful branding keeps it relevant among younger customers.

While volumes remain modest compared to rivals, consistent demand in urban markets and a balanced scooter-motorcycle mix helped Yamaha maintain stability in a highly competitive mass market.

Ather Energy Ltd

Ather Rizta

Ather’s CY2025 sales of 2,00,797 units are led by the 450X and 450S electric scooters, along with the more affordable RIZTA series of EVs. The brand targets premium urban buyers seeking performance, fast charging, and connected features. Growth reflects increasing EV confidence in metro cities and the expansion of Ather Grid charging points.

Strong word-of-mouth, software updates and ride quality helped Ather nearly double volumes year on year, positioning it as one of the strongest premium electric two-wheeler brands in India.

Ola Electric Technologies Pvt Ltd

Ola Electric sold 1,99,318 units in CY2025, with S1 Pro and S1 Air accounting for most volumes. After a very strong CY2024, volumes dipped due to extremely poor-quality control, no service centres and spare parts, and people burning their OLA scooters in public also didn't help

Greaves Electric Mobility Pvt Ltd

Greaves Ampere Nexus

Greaves Electric Mobility recorded 56,486 units in CY2025, driven mainly by Ampere Magnus and Primus electric scooters. The brand focuses on affordable EVs for daily commuting, especially in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
