Honda has introduced the V3R 900 E-Compressor Prototype in South Korea for the first time. It will be showcased from May 20 to 31 at the Honda Mobility Cafe 'The Go' in Seoul's Seongsu-dong area.
This concept model was first shown at EICMA 2025 in Milan.
Nearly 20 Years After Honda VFR1200 Debut
The VFR1200, which arrived around 2009-2010, marked a major step with its V4 engine and advanced technology. Nearly two decades later, the V3R 900 Prototype arrives as a bold new direction.
It moves away from traditional large-displacement designs toward a smarter, more responsive machine that blends power with everyday rideability.

The V3R 900 follows a naked sports bike style with an aggressive and purposeful look.
It features asymmetrical side cowls that are not just for style. These elements help manage airflow and improve engine cooling during rides. The fuel tank carries a new Honda Flagship Wing emblem, which signals this model's position as a high-end performer. At its heart sits a compact, water-cooled 75-degree V3 engine.
The overall design aims for balance. It offers the agility of a smaller bike while targeting performance similar to larger engines. Honda calls the concept a "Non-Rail Roller Coaster," meaning it promises exciting acceleration with stable and confident handling.
A Pro-Arm rear suspension adds to the sense of composure in corners and on straights.
How Does the V3R 900 E-Compressor Prototype's Supercharger Work?

The V3R 900's standout feature is the electronically controlled compressor, paired with its V3 engine.
Unlike traditional turbochargers that rely on exhaust gases, this electric supercharger operates independently. It does not depend on engine speed or exhaust flow.
This setup eliminates turbo lag almost completely, giving riders instant torque the moment they open the throttle, even at low engine speeds. The system provides strong, predictable power across the rev range.
Honda developed it to deliver output close to a 1200cc engine while keeping the lighter and more compact feel of a 900cc machine.
