Let’s start with Bajaj first. They have managed to breach their personal best of 200k units a month for the second time this year now. They have recently introduced GST-compliant Dominar. Their partnership with Triumph and the all-EV arm Chetak has also done nothing but add more numbers to their growing sales.
Next is Classic Legends, which comprises companies like Jawa, Yezdi, BSA, etc. They managed about 4.5k sales in April 2026 and have stayed in the 4k–5k range for most of the year. BSA also recently launched their 650 scrambler range to take on RE.
Next up is the current king of the hill, Hero, with over 500,000 plus sales in the past two months. They have sold 20 lakh units already and it’s not even half the year yet.
Thanks to Splendor which is yet to see any real competition and the XPulse range is already gaining popularity as the ADV bike craze is on the rise. Even the most affordable bikes now come with TFT displays, USB ports, etc, which might sound trivial but have resonated a lot with the buyers they cater to.

Honda is not far behind with 4.7 lakh plus units registered in April 2026. What Splendor does for Hero, Activa does for Honda.
They have also made a premium presence with their BigWing showrooms. Sure, the Activa Electric was a total and utter flop, but if someone can make the next big thing in EV two-wheelers, it’s probably Honda.
Yamaha has been doing consistently over the past four months with 60k plus units registered in April 2026. They majorly dominate the 150cc sport bike space with MT and R15, their most important bikes. They also recently refreshed Fascino.
Royal Enfield managed to cross the 90k mark for every month of 2026. They are preparing for upcoming 750cc twins and their recently launched Flying Flea may have been meh, but it shows that they are willing to move beyond the fossil fuel market.
Suzuki too has been able to break the 90k a month mark consistently. Access and Avenis have been their best-selling scooters. The recently refreshed Burgman and Hayabusa have both seen a rise in sales, the latter selling 500 units in 2025.
TVS managed 3.6 lakh plus units registered as per VAHAN in April 2026. Ntorq and Jupiter are their best-selling scooter brands, while Raider and Apache range are pretty popular in the premium bike category, while iQube takes care of TVS’ EV segment.
As for electric two-wheeler sales, the biggest surprise is perhaps OLA, with over 12k units registered compared to sub-4k just a couple of months ago. If, and it’s a big if, OLA has finally decided to buckle up, these numbers could grow next month., but so far, the majority of sales they have been getting are due to an extremely aggressive pricing strategy, which may not be sustainable long term.
Its rival Ather has done well with a solid 27k units registered as per VAHAN, with their Rizta and 450 series picking up the slack.
