Classic Legends has launched the updated Yezdi Scrambler 350 and BSA Scrambler 650 motorcycles. The updates bring a revised engine and performance improvements for the Yezdi Scrambler, while both receive hardware and styling changes for a refreshed look.

Yezdi's Scrambler 350 continues to be the most versatile offering in the brand's lineup, known for its agility in varied terrain, targeting riders who need something powerful to conquer light off-roads on a daily run.

Meanwhile, BSA's Scrambler 650 is the second motorcycle to wear the BSA badge in India, after the Gold Star 650, built on the same platform. The model expands BSA's lineup with proper scrambler characteristics.

The Yezdi Scrambler 350's most notable part of the update is its dry weight reduction of 8kg, from 182 kg to 174kg. Classic Legends has achieved this by replacing the outgoing twin-exhaust setup with a single unit, which removes some burden to give it better off-road agility while also cleaning up its side profile.

Adding to its handling, the seat has also been hightened, by 13 mm to 813 mm, which should give riders a more planted ride.

Performance-wise, it gets a revised 334cc single-cylinder engine, which carries over the displacement and generates 30 hp and 30 Nm. More excitingly, the engine now comes paired with three riding modes - Road, Off-Road, and Rain, which alters the throttle response and level of traction control intervention, depending on the mode selected.

This is the first time Yezdi has offered any form of rider aids to the Scrambler, which should make it decisive for those who like to ride in varied conditions.

Meanwhile, the update brings no change to the suspension setup, which features telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheel setup also gets carried over.

The major part of the BSA Scrambler update is the larger 19-inch front wheel, which is an increment from the 18-inch wheel on the Gold Star, while the rear 17-inch wheel sees no change.

Both wheels are shod with CEAT Crossrad tyres, a choice that seems to be a good one, as these tyres are known to properly handle both tarmac and light off-road surfaces, a kind of use that many buyers will actually attempt.

Adding to the ride quality is the motorcycle’s suspension system, which consists of 41 mm telescopic forks at the front and preload-adjustable twin rear shocks, while the seat height is slightly taller than the Yezdi Scrambler 350 at 820 mm

Looks-wise, the Scrambler 650's front end gets a round LED headlight, a high-mounted front fender, fork gaiters and an optional grille. The instrument cluster meanwhile, is a plain LCD.

On the sides, the body panel now carries the '65' graphic design, while the rear end gets a revised tail-light, which is an improvement over the cluttered rear of the Gold Star.

Performance wise, the BSA Scrambler shares the same 652cc engine as the Gold Star, producing 45 hp and 55 Nm, while pairing with a 5-speed gearbox.
