So far cars like Volkswagen Tayron, Mahindra Thar Roxx facelift, Nissan Tekton, Nissan Gravite, Renault Duster (New Gen), Tata Sierra EV, MG Majestor, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara 3-Row, Vinfast Limo Green, Tata Avinya Series, Mahindra BE 07 have been officially confirmed by carmakers for this year debut. As of now, only one to two upcoming cars are expected to be priced around or under the ₹10 lakh mark in 2026. The new-generation Renault Duster is the most likely candidate to start close to this price point. No brand has officially confirmed a completely new mass-market hatchback or compact car under ₹10 lakh for 2026, as most upcoming launches are SUVs or electric vehicles positioned higher.
The most important upcoming Maruti Suzuki car for 2026 Grand Vitara 3 row. Maruti Suzuki has not confirmed any all-new petrol or diesel model for 2026, with updates to existing models expected instead like Brezza facelift.
Mahindra’s most anticipated confirmed launch for 2026 is the Thar 5-door, which adds practicality and rear seat space to the iconic off-road SUV. Mahindra is also preparing multiple electric SUVs under its new EV strategy, but among them, only select models are expected to arrive in 2026, with others planned for later years.
