India's car market is set to grow in 2026 with several affordable options under ₹10 lakh. These models include compact SUVs, hatchbacks, and electric vehicles from various brands. Each offers value through features, efficiency, and pricing. Below is a list with details on expected specs and timelines.
Nissan Gravite

The Nissan Gravite is a confirmed seven-seater compact MPV set for launch in January, with price announcements likely before March.
Design highlights include sleek lines, a bold front grille, and modern exterior styling with LED elements for better visibility. Inside, expect an 8-inch infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, alongside a 7-inch digital driver's display.
It is based on the CMF-A+ platform shared with the Renault Triber, and will use the same 1.0-litre petrol engine producing around 70 BHP and 96 Nm of torque, paired with a five-speed manual or AMT gearbox.
Safety features will include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, Hill Start Assist, and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System as standard.
The Gravite is expected to be priced from ₹6 lakh to ₹9 lakh ex-showroom, making it a budget-friendly entry-level MPV.
Maruti Brezza Facelift

The Maruti Brezza facelift is expected by March or April 2026, following its multiple test sightings.
It is likely to get subtle enhancements, like a new grille with chrome accents, redesigned LED projector headlamps, and a front bumper, while the rear could see revised tail lamps and bumper design for a fresher look. The interior could see minor upgrades, such as new colours for the dashboard and upholstery, and possibly a larger touchscreen.
The Brezza is expected to retain the 1.5-litre petrol engine delivering 102 BHP and 137 Nm of torque, paired to a five-speed manual or six-speed automatic options, along with a new underbody CNG setup (87 BHP/121.5Nm) as seen in the Victoris.
Safety suite could continue with six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, Hill Hold Assist, ISOFIX mounts, and seatbelt reminders as standard, keeping it competitive against its sub-compact SUV rivals.
Though Maruti is yet to make an announcement, expected pricing begins at ₹8.50 lakh, offering updated features like a revised bumper and better CNG packaging for compact SUV buyers.

New Honda WR-V

The Honda WR-V could return in an all-new avatar, after it was spotted undisguised. However, Honda has not officially confirmed anything.
Undergoing a complete redesign, it may adopt a sporty RS trim with distinctive styling cues like a revised grille, LED lighting, and sporty alloy wheels. The cabin might feature a large touchscreen infotainment system with wireless connectivity and connected car tech.
If launched, it will feature a 1.2-litre petrol engine making 89 BHP and 110 Nm of torque, and possibly a turbo-petrol option to compete against other turbo-petrol compact SUVs. Transmission options could include a 5-speed manual or CVT for the 1.2L i-VTEC engine.
Safety could be strong with standard six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, and hill-hold.
Pricing is projected from ₹9 lakh to ₹15 lakh, positioning it as a fresh entry in the segment after the previous model's discontinuation.
Leapmotor T03

The Leapmotor T03 is confirmed for India as an electric hatchback, but with an unknown launch timeline.
This compact city EV measures just 3.62 meters in length with a 2.4-meter wheelbase, providing agile handling and easy parking in tight urban spaces. Inside, it offers a spacious B-segment-like cabin despite its A-segment size, with a minimalist dashboard, touchscreen infotainment, and optional sunroof.
It has a 37.3 kWh battery and a 70kW electric motor producing 92 BHP and 158 Nm of torque, offering up to 265 km range on a single charge. 0-100km/h comes up in about 12.7 seconds, and charging from 30-80% takes 36 minutes via a 48kW DC fast charger.
As an entry-level EV, it would focus on range and smart tech for daily commutes.
Expected pricing starts at ₹8 lakh, making it an affordable urban EV rival to the MG Comet and Tata Tiago EV.
VinFast VF3

VinFast has confirmed the VF3 for India as a micro electric SUV, expected to launch in 2026, but with no exact timeline yet.
The VF3's boxy design offers a fun, playful micro-SUV aesthetic with 191mm ground clearance, with a compact 2075 mm wheelbase. Inside, the four-seater cabin features a 10-inch infotainment screen for gauges and media.
It uses an 18.6 kWh battery and a 43.5 BHP rear-mounted motor, providing over 200 km range, and its rear-wheel-drive setup accelerates from 0-50km/h in 5.3 seconds, suited for city commutes. The battery supports fast charging from 10-70% in 36 minutes, ensuring minimal downtime.
Safety includes ABS, multiple airbags, and potential ESP.
As VinFast's most accessible model, it may offer Battery-as-a-Service plans to lower upfront costs. Pricing could range from ₹7.50 lakh to ₹10 lakh.
Maruti YDB

The Maruti YDB is an expected compact MPV based on the Suzuki Spacia, rumoured for launch in 2026.
This sub-4m MPV in production-spec will stretch beyond the Japanese Spacia's 3.4m length to accommodate seven seats with flexible configurations. Its boxy silhouette maximises interior space, potentially including sliding second-row seats for easy third-row access. Features could include a touchscreen system with wireless connectivity.
It will likely feature Maruti’s latest Z12 1.2-litre petrol engine producing around 80 BHP and 110 Nm, paired with a 5-speed manual or an AMT, and possible CNG variants for better efficiency.
Basic safety features could include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, and ISOFIX seat mounts.
Positioned below the Ertiga, the YDB's expected pricing could be around ₹7 lakh, going up to ₹10 lakh, offering three-row seating as an affordable rival to the Renault Triber and upcoming Nissan Gravite.
