The Syros EV uses the CCS2 charging standard. With a 100 kW DC fast charger, both battery packs go from 10% to 80% in about 39 minutes. On an 11 kW AC charger (home wallbox or public AC), the 42 kWh pack takes around 4 hours and the 51.4 kWh pack takes about 4 hours 50 minutes for a 10-100% charge. On the slower 7.4 kW home charger, expect 6 hours and 7 hours 15 minutes respectively. A portable charging cable comes included with the car. Note that all figures are Kia claimed.

Prices haven't been officially announced yet (launch is expected around 22-23 July 2026), but estimates from multiple sources place the range at roughly ₹13 lakh to ₹18 lakh (ex-showroom). There are seven variants across two battery sizes: HTK, HTK+, and HTX on the 42 kWh pack, and HTK+ ER, HTX ER, HTX+ ER, and X-Line ER on the 51.4 kWh pack. Kia is also offering a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) financing option that could lower the upfront purchase cost.

On paper, the Syros EV has a bigger battery, more power, and a longer claimed range than both the Nexon EV and the XUV 3XO EV. The 51.4 kWh variant makes 171 PS, which is higher than either rival, and its 526 km ARAI range is the highest in the compact electric SUV segment. It also claims a faster 0-100 km/h time of 8.1 seconds with the larger battery. Where the Nexon EV has the advantage is an established track record and a wider service/charging network from Tata. A proper comparison will only be possible once on-road prices and real-world tests are out.

Level 2 ADAS with 16 autonomous features is available only on the top-spec X-Line ER variant.

Boot space is 465 litres, which is among the highest in this segment. There's also a small 16-litre frunk under the bonnet - enough for the portable charging cable or a small bag. The rear seats get a 60:40 split with sliding and reclining function, so you can trade legroom for cargo space as needed.

Yes, but only on the X-Line ER variant. It gets an internal Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature, meanwhile external V2L (via an adapter from the charge port) has not been confirmed for the Syros EV.

Kia's K-Charge ecosystem aggregates over 20,000 charging points from 23 operators into the MyKia app, so you can locate stations, check availability, and pay from one place. Over 100 Kia dealerships also have DC fast chargers (60 kW to 240 kW). For home charging, Kia offers 7.4 kW and 11 kW AC wallbox options.

The dual-pane panoramic sunroof is available from the HTX variant onwards (both 42 kWh and Extended Range).

Every variant gets 6 airbags, ABS with brake assist, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, all-wheel disc brakes, ISOFIX child seat anchors, rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring, and rear occupant alert. Kia bundles these under a "25 Hi-Safety Package." The ICE Syros scored a 5-star rating in both adult and child safety categories from BHARAT NCAP. The EV version hasn't been separately crash tested yet, but it shares the same platform and body structure.
