The eC3 uses a 29.2 kWh lithium-Ion battery pack with natural air cooling, paired with an electric motor that produces 56 hp and 143 Nm of torque.

Paired with a single-speed automatic transmission, this setup enables a claimed 0-60 km/h acceleration time of 6.8 seconds and a maximum speed of 107 km/h.

The eC3 delivers an ARAI-certified driving range of 246 km on the MIDC cycle. It utilizes the CCS2 charging standard, ensuring compatibility with India’s public DC fast-charging infrastructure.

Using a DC fast charger, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in an estimated (brand claimed) 57 minutes.

As for home charging, a 10% to 100% charge from a 15 amp plug point takes approximately 10 hours and 30 minutes, supported by the 3.3 kW on-board charger.

Inside the eC3, the dashboard uses a single-tone black layout with satin chrome accents on the AC knobs and anodized grey or orange trim on the instrument panel. Gloss black surrounds the side AC vents and the e-toggle area.

Meanwhile, the tilt-adjustable steering wheel includes audio and phone controls, while higher trims add leather wrapping.

Infotainment comes via a 26 cm Citroën Connect touchscreen with four speakers, supporting Bluetooth and wireless Mirror Screen connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Power outlets include a 12V socket and USB port at the front, with two fast-charging USB ports in the rear console.

Seating wise, the front seats use fabric upholstery with integrated headrests, while the driver seat offers height adjustment. The rear bench folds flat and also gets integrated headrests.

Finally, practical features include door bottle holders, rear smartphone storage, manual air conditioning with heater, a parcel shelf, vanity mirror, and day/night inside rear-view mirror.

The eC3 measures 3981 mm in length, 1733 mm in width, and 1586/1604 mm in height. Its body includes front and rear skid plates, roof rails, and wheel-arch cladding, giving it crossover-style styling.

At the front, it features Citroën’s chevron emblem in chrome or silver, a matte black grille, and body-coloured bumpers. Halogen headlamps are standard, while higher trims add LED daytime running lights.

The side profile includes gloss black ORVMs, roof rails, and sash tape on the A, B, and C pillars. The body-coloured door handles are offered from mid-variants, while a dual-tone roof is available as an option. Also, it rides on 195/65 R15 tyres, with wheel covers on lower trims and alloy wheels on higher variants. The spare wheel is a 185/65 R15 steel unit.

At the rear, the eC3 gets body-coloured bumpers and LED tail lamps, while higher trims add a rear skid plate.

The eC3 features dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and reverse parking sensors. Other equipment includes manual child locks for the rear doors, seat-belt reminders for the driver and co-driver, a high-speed alert system, and speed-sensitive auto door locks.

In terms of crash testing, the eC3 received a very poor 0-star rating in adult occupant protection and a 1-star in child occupant protection from Global NCAP.

The eC3’s closest rivals in its segment are the Tata Punch EV and Tata Tiago EV.

The Punch EV holds an advantage in claimed range (up to 468 km in select configurations) and offers more powerful electric powertrain options along with a broader feature set in higher variants. The eC3 counters with 315-litre boot space plus Citroën’s comfort-oriented suspension tune.

The Tiago EV provides competitive entry-level pricing and a split-battery layout for added practicality in a smaller footprint. Conversely, the eC3 has a quicker 0-60 km/h acceleration (6.8 seconds) and larger 315-litre boot capacity.
