Tata Motors is likely to launch the facelifted Punch EV on February 20, as a mid-cycle refresh for the popular electric micro SUV. Changes could draw inspiration from the recent ICE Punch facelift, focusing on sharper looks, better features, and possible range improvements.
Design
The exterior could sport a fresh front end with a closed grille, connected LED daytime running lights and slimmer headlamps, with revised bumpers boosting the bold stance. The rear could feature connected taillights and updated elements as seen on the petrol-powered Punch for a fresh look. New aero-optimised alloy wheels could be the only visible change from the sides.
Interior and Features
The Punch EV’s cabin could also get minor upgrades for a more premium feel. The 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit from the ICE Punch facelift is expected, possibly paired with a Harman Kardon audio system. Other additions could include a sunroof, ventilated front seats, and better upholstery with a new colour theme. Features like wireless charging, connected car technology, and automatic climate control are expected to be retained.

Tata Punch EV Battery Specifications
Battery options are expected to carry over from the current model. These include a 25 kWh pack for up to 315 km range, producing 82 hp with 114 Nm torque, and a bigger 35 kWh pack with around 421 km range, providing 122 hp and 190 Nm. Fast charging supports quick top-ups. Some reports suggest a larger battery could be introduced for extended range, but this remains to be seen.
Safety
The Punch EV, just like its ICE counterpart, is proven to be a safe car, achieving a 5-star rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests. This is thanks to its solid architecture and safety features like standard six airbags, ESP, ABS with EBD, TPMS, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
Higher trims add a 360-degree camera with blind spot monitoring, along with an electronic parking brake. Tata may introduce standard or possibly even Level 2 ADAS features with the Punch EV facelift.
Tata Punch EV Facelift Expected Price
Prices are expected to start slightly above the current model’s ₹9.99 lakh to ₹14.44 lakh range (ex-showroom), owing to all the upgrades, but could be noticeably higher if a new, bigger battery pack option is introduced. The facelifted Punch EV will continue to rival the Citroen eC3.
