The MG Hector Hawk has been spotted undisguised during what appears to be a TVC shoot at Magarpatta City in Pune, ahead of its 26 August launch. MG has also opened bookings for the three-row EV for Rs 21,000. The latest sighting offers the clearest look yet at its production-spec exterior.
What the sighting reveals

The Hector Hawk appears in an olive or sage green shade. The front fascia is upright and broad, with a closed-off upper section befitting an EV, a central MG badge and slim horizontal LED DRL strips flanking it on either side.
The side profile confirms a tall, conventional SUV silhouette with no coupe-like roofline compromise. Squared-off black wheel arch cladding runs along the lower body, dual-tone alloys are fitted, and a chrome window line with an upward kink towards the rear is visible. The roof and pillars appear in a contrasting dark treatment.

What we know about the car
The Hector Hawk will be the first MG model in India to use the ADAPT platform, which stands for Advanced Drive Architecture Platform Technology. The SUV will have three rows in a 2+3+2 seating layout, with twin LED headlamps and matching LED tail lamps.
The EV is expected to use a 69.2 kWh LFP battery and a single front-mounted electric motor producing 201 hp and 310 Nm. The Indonesia-spec model on which it is based carries a claimed CLTC range of up to 530km. India-specific range figures are yet to be confirmed.
Positioning and rivals
Based on the Wuling Starlight 560, the Hawk measures 4,745mm in length and rides on a 2,810mm wheelbase, 60mm longer than the current Hector. The EV version is expected to rival the Mahindra XEV 9S, while a PHEV variant with a 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 20.5kWh battery is also expected, set to follow the EV at a later date.
