The new Tata Sierra has seen high demand since its launch in November 2025. Registering over 70,000 bookings in the first 24 hours, it now faces a waiting period of three to four months, depending on the city and variant. This makes it the model with the longest delay in Tata's SUV lineup, even longer than the Harrier and Safari, which have a waiting period of one to two months.
Tata Sierra Waiting Period
The standard waiting period is about three months from the booking date across all seven variants. Higher trims like Adventure and Accomplished face longer delays due to stronger buyer interest compared to the lower-spec Smart and Pure trims.
Diesel variant buyers have to wait two to four weeks longer compared to the petrol options. Automatic variants are asking for an additional 15 to 30 days over manuals, driven by higher demand.
Colour options are also playing a role, with Munnar Mist (shown in image) having the longest waiting period. Other options include Andaman Adventure, Pristine White, Pure Grey, Bengal Rouge, and Coorg Clouds.
Tata Sierra Powertrain Options
Tata offers three engine options with the Sierra: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol with 106 hp, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol at 160 hp, and a 1.5-litre diesel producing 118 hp. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual (1.5 Petrol and Diesel), 7-speed DCT (1.5 Petrol), and a 6-speed torque converter automatic (1.5 Turbo Petrol and Diesel). The turbo petrol Sierra is only available with the 6-speed torque converter automatic.
Prices for the Tata Sierra range from ₹11.49 lakh to ₹21.29 lakh (ex-showroom). Interested buyers are advised to check with their nearest Tata Motors dealerships for exact waiting times.
