Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Launched at Rs 11.45 Lakh With BaaS

Mahindra has launched the BE 6 Sporteq in India at a starting price of Rs 19.45 lakh (ex-showroom). The new version replaces the BE 6 name with the Sporteq badge and brings a revised variant lineup, a new 70kWh battery pack, additional connected features and an updated dashboard.

The BE 6 Sporteq is available with 59kWh, 70kWh and 79kWh battery options. Higher variants now feature a triple 12.3-inch screen setup, while Mahindra has also introduced a Battery as a Service (BaaS) ownership option for the 59kWh variants. Deliveries will begin on August 26, 2026.

Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Price

The Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq is priced between Rs 19.45 lakh and Rs 26.95 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the variant and battery pack. The range also includes the existing Formula E Edition.

Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Gets BaaS Option

Mahindra has introduced its Battery as a Service programme with the BE 6 Sporteq. The option is currently available with the 59kWh battery on the One and Two variants.

Under the BaaS model, customers pay a lower upfront price for the vehicle and pay a separate battery usage charge of Rs 3.75 per km. Mahindra says the pricing has been calculated assuming an average usage of 60km per day and an eight-year battery loan tenure.

The BaaS prices do not include statutory charges such as road tax, insurance and TCS.

BE 6 Sporteq Exterior Design

The exterior design of the BE 6 Sporteq remains largely unchanged from the standard BE 6. The main visual update is the addition of the new Sporteq badging, while the Launch Edition gets an exclusive Graphite Storm paint finish.

The electric SUV continues to feature elements such as 19-inch alloy wheels, LED lighting, flush-fitting door handles, customisable LED tail-lamp displays and a fixed panoramic glass roof, depending on the variant.

The Sporteq is also available in two new colours, Ruby Velvet and Graphite Storm.

Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Gets New Dashboard

The biggest changes have been made inside the cabin. Higher variants of the BE 6 Sporteq now feature a triple 12.3-inch screen layout, similar to the setup used in Mahindra's larger XEV models.

The dashboard has also been redesigned. The previous halo-style element surrounding the driver's display has been replaced with a cleaner horizontal layout. This creates additional storage space and provides easier access to the wireless charging pad and USB Type-C ports.

The Launch Edition gets a special Full Racing Tan interior theme with matching upholstery and dashboard trim. The Formula E Edition continues with the earlier dual-screen dashboard layout.

New Connected Features and Google Gemini

Mahindra has introduced six new TEQ technology suites with the BE 6 Sporteq, focusing on connectivity, personalisation and vehicle functions.

The TEQ_Me system can recognise the driver and automatically load their personalised profile. TEQ_Talk brings Google Gemini integration, while TEQ_xting allows owners to display personalised messages on the LED tailgate display.

The TEQ_Drive suite adds features such as Custom Drive Mode, Tribe Drive, Drift Mode and Acceleration Boost. Another new function is Revive SOS, which Mahindra says can provide enough emergency charge to travel up to 13km to the nearest charging station after the battery reaches zero.

According to Mahindra, Revive SOS can be used up to five times during the battery's lifetime. The company has also confirmed that Google Gemini integration will be introduced to existing Mahindra electric SUVs through an over-the-air update from January 2027.

The BE 6 Sporteq continues to offer features such as a panoramic glass roof, Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos, ventilated front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 540-degree camera, head-up display and Level 2 ADAS.

Depending on the variant, the SUV also gets connected car technology, auto park assist, an NFC digital key and wireless phone charging.

Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Battery and Range

The BE 6 Sporteq is available with three battery packs measuring 59kWh, 70kWh and 79kWh. The 59kWh version produces 231hp, while the 70kWh and 79kWh versions develop 245hp and 286hp, respectively. All three versions produce 380Nm of torque and send power to the rear wheels.

The claimed MIDC range stands at 548km for the 59kWh battery, 651km for the 70kWh battery and 683km for the 79kWh battery.

The 59kWh battery supports up to 140kW DC fast charging, while the 70kWh and 79kWh packs support up to 160kW and 180kW, respectively. Mahindra claims that all three battery options can be charged from 20 to 80 percent in 20 minutes when using their respective maximum-rated DC chargers.

The BE 6 Sporteq can also be equipped with an optional 7.2kW or 11.2kW AC wall charger. Charging times vary between 6 and 11.7 hours depending on the battery pack and charger selected.

Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Deliveries

Deliveries of the Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq will begin on August 26, 2026. The model will be offered across the One, Two, Three, Three+, Four, Launch Edition and Formula E variants, with the 59kWh, 70kWh and 79kWh battery options available depending on the variant.
