Tata Sierra Legend Series Launched From Rs 11.99 Lakh

Quick Read - Tata Sierra Legend Series adds a premium-focused five-variant range with leatherette interiors, connected tech, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, advanced comfort features and SUV-focused equipment.

Tata has launched the Sierra Legend Series, priced from Rs 11.99 lakh to Rs 19.49 Lakh (ex-showroom). The new range spans five variants and runs on one idea throughout, a cabin that feels premium from the base trim onward rather than keeping comfort features locked behind the upper trims.

What the Legend Series Actually Is

The regular Sierra runs from Smart+ to Accomplished+ with a fairly standard feature progression at the entry end. The Legend Series sits alongside it as a parallel range, starting where the standard Sierra's cabin quality leaves off.

Smart+ L, the base variant, brings leatherette seats, leatherette door trims and armrests, steering mounted controls, auto fold ORVMs, and Passive Entry and Passive Start from the start.

Safety carries over in full too. The body structure is 5-star Bharat NCAP-rated, and every variant gets six airbags, ESP with 20 functions, all wheel disc brakes, and Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold as standard.

Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., said,

“With the new Legend Series, we are building on that success by bringing a richer and more indulgent cabin environment to more customers across the Sierra portfolio.”

What Each Variant Adds

The variant walk is cumulative. Each higher variant carries everything from the one below it and adds a clear new layer on top.

VariantKey Additions
Smart+ LLeatherette seats, door trims, armrests, steering controls, auto-fold ORVMs, PEPS, full wheel covers, roof rails
Pure L26.03 cm touchscreen, 8-speaker audio, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear camera, cruise control, drive modes, HDC, TPMS, 17-inch alloys
Pure L(O)Panoramax voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers
Pure+ LFull leatherette interior treatment, ventilated front seats, 6-way powered driver seat, thigh support extender, Boss Mode, dual-zone auto climate control, driver one-touch anti-pinch window, 2x rear 65W USB-C chargers, boot lamp, rear defogger
Adventure+ L360-degree HD surround view with 4Sight, Superglide Suspension with FDD, terrain modes, 31.24 cm infotainment, front parking sensors, reclining rear seat, rear armrest, adjustable rear headrests, mood lighting, wireless charging, cooled glovebox

Pure L, at Rs 13.79 lakh, is where the cabin gets properly connected: a 26.03 cm touchscreen with 8-speaker audio, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a rear camera, cruise control, and drive modes. Pure L(O), for another Rs 50,000, adds what Tata calls the segment-largest Panaromax Voice Assisted Sunroof, along with automatic headlamps and rain-sensing wipers.

Pure+ L at Rs 14.99 lakh is where the comfort jump feels real on a daily commute. Ventilated seats paired with Boss Mode and the thigh support extender are not common at this price point in the segment.

Adventure+ L at Rs 16.99 lakh is the variant that turns the Sierra into an actual SUV tool rather than just a comfortable cabin. The Superglide Suspension with Frequency Dependent Damping and the three terrain modes matter more here than the bigger screen.

The Underlying Sierra Stays Unchanged

The 2,730 mm wheelbase, 973 mm of second-row legroom, a 622-litre boot with 39 storage spaces, and 210 mm of ground clearance, has not changed with this launch, which seems to be a right call. Tata has left this alone and spent its effort on the cabin instead.

Rivals

The Sierra Legend Series competes with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Grand Vitara, with upper variants also brushing against Tata's own Harrier.
