Skoda Slavia Facelift Leaked Ahead of Launch With New 8-Speed AT and 360° Camera

Škoda India's brochure for the updated Slavia has surfaced online ahead of its official launch and it confirms most of what was expected from the facelift. The revised sedan gets a refreshed face, a meaningfully upgraded cabin, and an 8-speed torque converter automatic for the 1.0L engine, while keeping the same two turbocharged petrol engines underneath.

Though the official prices are yet to be announced, the launch event is scheduled for later today. The current generation of the Slavia is priced between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 18.19 lakh, ex-showroom, and we expect a price surge of around Rs 50,000 to 60,000.

We will update this article as soon as prices are confirmed.

The Slavia's overall silhouette remains unchanged, with the facelift focusing on smaller design updates. Up front, it gets redesigned headlamp housings with LED projectors and a revised DRL signature. The grille features chrome accents on higher variants, while the Monte Carlo gets an all-black treatment. The fog lamps are smaller and positioned at the outer ends of the revised front bumper.

At the rear, the main change is the new LED tail lamp design with sequential turn indicators. Two new colours, Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige, have also been added, with Cappuccino Beige deliveries starting in December 2026.

The Slavia also gets new 16-inch alloy wheel designs. The Monte Carlo gets additional red accents on the grille, red brake calipers, and Monte Carlo badging on the fenders and boot lid.

Most of the updates are inside the cabin. The Prestige and Monte Carlo variants get a 26.03 cm virtual cockpit, 360-degree surround-view camera, both front seats with electric adjustment and ventilation, and a first-in-segment rear-seat massager.

From the Signature variant onwards, the Slavia gets a new 25.6 cm touchscreen radio with built-in connectivity and a Google Cloud-powered AI assistant. Automatic climate control is now standard across the range, while all variants except the base Classic get a sunroof.

Powertrain

The engine lineup remains unchanged. The 1.0-litre TSI produces 116 PS and 178 Nm, while the 1.5-litre TSI develops 150 PS and 250 Nm. The major change is the new 8-speed torque converter automatic for the 1.0-litre engine, replacing the previous 6-speed automatic.

The 1.5-litre continues with the 7-speed DSG and now gets rear disc brakes. The 1.0-litre is also available with a 6-speed manual.

Safety

The Slavia retains its 5-star Global NCAP safety rating. Six airbags are standard across all variants, along with more than 25 safety features. The 360-degree area-view camera is available from the Sportline variant onwards.

Variants and Rivals

The 2026 Slavia is offered in six variants: Classic, Classic Plus, Signature, Sportline, Prestige, and Monte Carlo. The new Classic Plus automatic also lowers the entry point for the 1.0-litre automatic powertrain.

The Slavia continues to compete with the Hyundai Verna, Honda City, and Volkswagen Virtus. The Virtus is also expected to receive its facelift before the end of 2026.
