Bold Design Inspired by the Patrol

The Tekton sports a tough, upright look that takes cues from the bigger Nissan Patrol.
It has a large black grille with horizontal slats and a thin red accent line that lights up around the Nissan logo. Rectangular LED headlamps, vertical DRLs, and a silver skid plate at the front give it a commanding presence.
From the side, the similarities to its sibling - the Renault Duster, are hard to ignore, but it is nothing to complain about. You get a traditional SUV-like silhouette, high ground clearance, thick cladding with a muscular shoulder line, roof rails, and stylish 18-inch alloy wheels.
The similarities continue towards the rear as well, with the connected LED tail lamps and bold “TEKTON” lettering.
Overall, the SUV looks tough while still feeling modern and premium.
The Tekton is being offered in six colours: Pearl White, Blade Silver, Onyx Black, Moonbow Gray, Flare Garnet Red, and Indigo Blue. Dual-tone options with a black roof will also be available on select variants.

Nissan Tekton Interior and Features

Nissan is offering four different interior themes across its six variants. The top-end variants feature a burgundy, rose gold, and beige theme, with premium upholstery and ambient lighting.
The dashboard features dual digital displays, with a 10.1-inch infotainment system including Google built-in with Maps, Assistant, Play Store, and Gemini support, and a 10.25-inch display for the driver.
It offers a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, and powered adjustable seats.
Additional highlights include a 360-degree camera, wireless phone charger, paddle shifters on DCT variants, and over 55 connected features accessible through the MyNissan app for remote control and vehicle management.
Nissan Tekton Engine Options

Nissan is offering two turbo-petrol engine choices with the Tekton.
The 1.0-litre T160 makes 100 bhp and 166 NM of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual. Renault claims a mileage of 19.4 km/l with this engine.
For the enthusiasts among you, there is the 1.3-litre T280, producing 163 bhp and 280 Nm torque. It is mated with 6-speed manual and 6-speed DCT automatic options. Mileage is claimed at 17.8 km/l for the manual and 18.5 km/l for the DCT.
Interestingly, Nissan did not mention anything about the launch timeline of a strong hybrid variant, likely indicating that this powertrain could be exclusive to the Renault Duster.

Sharing its robust structure with the Duster, the Tekton too has earned a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating for both adult and child occupant protection.
The SUV comes equipped with six airbags, ESP, and a host of other active and passive safety systems. Higher variants offer Level-2 ADAS features.

The Tekton enters the highly competitive mid-size SUV segment, and will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and obviously, the Renault Duster.
The Tekton is manufactured in India and will serve as an export model to markets in the Middle East, South Africa, and other regions.
