Mahindra to Push SPORTEQ Features to Existing BE 6, XEV 9e and XEV 9S Owners via OTA From January 2027

If you own a Mahindra BE 6, XEV 9e, or XEV 9S and have been watching the SPORTEQ launch feeling like you missed out, some good news just came in. Mahindra has confirmed that a chunk of the SPORTEQ's new software features will be pushed to existing owners via over-the-air updates, rolling out in phases from January 2027.

What Features Are Coming via OTA

The features being rolled out span four of the six TEQ software suites introduced with the SPORTEQ.

TEQ SuiteFeatures Coming via OTA
TEQ DriveCustom Drive Mode, Drift Mode, Tribe Drive, Revive and Revive SOS
TEQ MeUser Profile with Auto-detection
TEQ SecureSecure360 Pro with live camera view and audio relay, Intrusion Alert, NFC and Digital Car Key, 3rd Screen Parental Lock

Drift Mode is the one most BE 6 owners will immediately want to try, as it is a proper fun addition to how the car drives, than simply adding another menu feature.

The TEQ Me profile system automatically loads the right user profile when it detects who is driving, which makes a difference when two people regularly share the car.

TEQ Secure has the most major update of the lot. Alongside the Secure360 Pro live camera feed with audio relay and intrusion alerts, Mahindra is adding NFC and Digital Car Key support across iPhone, Apple Watch, Android, and Samsung devices, as well as NFC Key Cards.

This makes Mahindra the first Indian automaker to offer CCC-compliant Digital Car Key functionality across multiple ecosystems.

One Thing to Keep in Mind

Mahindra has been clear that the features available will vary by model and variant. Not every car in this family will receive every feature listed above, so expect further clarity closer to the January 2027 rollout.

How to Get the OTA Update When It Arrives

No service centre visit is needed. When the update goes live:

1. Open the Menu on your infotainment screen
2. Tap Vehicle Apps
3. Select Updates
4. Review the update details, then tap Update to install

Keep the car stationary if the on-screen prompt asks for it. Your existing settings should stay intact after the update. For further help, you can check the Me4U app.
