Formula 1 is back, and is heading to the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve for the Canadian Grand Prix - round 5 of the now 22-race season.

This iconic track, known for its long straights, tight chicanes, and the famous Wall of Champions, always delivers exciting racing and plenty of overtaking opportunities.

Mercedes enter this round still unbeaten in the main race, and leading both championships by a decent margin. But if McLaren's rise in form since Japan is anything to go by, we could have an interesting weekend on our hands.

F1 Miami GP 2026 Race Results

1. Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes) - 25 points

2. Lando Norris (McLaren) - 18 points

3. Oscar Piastri (McLaren) - 15 points

The Miami Grand Prix delivered an action-packed weekend with Kimi Antonelli securing his third consecutive victory of the season. The young Mercedes driver showed strong pace and composure as he held off a late challenge from Lando Norris.

McLaren demonstrated impressive race pace with Norris finishing second and Oscar Piastri third, signalling their growing threat.

A spin for Max Verstappen on the opening lap left him tumbling down the order, to eventually pull off a recovery drive to fifth place. Despite missing out on a potential podium, the Dutchman looked strong in his RB22 for the first time this season.

It was a race to forget for Ferrari, with Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc finishing sixth and eighth respectively.

Franco Colapinto recorded his so far career-best result with a seventh place, while Williams drivers Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon completed the top ten.

F1 Drivers' Championship Standings after Miami GP

The Canadian Grand Prix is a sprint weekend as well, meaning that teams still have not gotten a traditional weekend with three practice sessions to fully optimise their cars ever since F1's updated regulation changes that were applied in Miami.
