2026 has started with several exciting cars debuting in January, including launches, unveils, and price announcements from major brands. These comprise facelifts, new generation updates, and brand new models. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom. 

New-Gen Kia Seltos

Kia Seltos 2026

The 2026 Kia Seltos brings a fresh look with a bolder front grille, slim LED headlights, and a wider stance. It is longer, wider and has a longer wheelbase as compared to its predecessor for better space. 

It gets three engine options - a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel. Transmission options are a 6-speed manual, 6-speed torque converter automatic, IVT (CVT), 6-speed iMT, and a 7-speed DCT, depending on the engine option. 

The 2026 Seltos gets dual 10.3-inch screens, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, ventilated seats, and a 360-degree surround view. Standard safety covers six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, hill-start assist, TPMS, rear parking sensors with a camera, and ISOFIX seat mounts. 

Prices start at ₹10.99 lakh and go up to ₹19.99 lakh.

Mahindra XUV 7XO

The Mahindra XUV 7XO has a new front with C-shaped LED DRLs, an updated grille, revised bumpers, and new alloy wheels for a more premium look.

Powertrain options continue with the XUV700’s 2.0-litre turbo-petrol (200 hp) and 2.2-litre diesel (172 hp), paired to a 6-speed manual or torque converter automatic. 

Key interior highlights include a 12.3-inches triple-screen layout, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and Harman Kardon audio. Safety includes seven airbags, ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS on top-end variants. The DaVinci suspension system is also a major addition.

Prices range from ₹13.69 lakh to ₹23.99 lakh.

Mahindra XUV 3XO EV

Mahindra XUV 3XO EV

Unlike the XUV400, the Mahindra 3XO EV remains dimensionally unchanged from its ICE sibling. It gets EV-specific design tweaks such as a closed grille, copper accents, and aerodynamic wheels.

Its 39.4kWh battery powers a front motor producing 150 hp and 310 Nm torque, claiming a 285km real-world range. It offers Fun, Fast, and Fearless drive modes. 

The interior features dual 10.25-inch screens, a panoramic sunroof, Harman Kardon audio, ventilated seats, and wireless charging. Safety covers six airbags, ESP, hill hold, a 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS. 

The XUV 3XO EV comes in just two variants, with ₹13.89 lakh for the AX5 and ₹14.96 lakh for the AX7L.

Tata Harrier and Safari Petrol

Tata Motors finally introduced petrol power to its flagship SUVs. The Harrier and Safari petrol variants remain visually unchanged from their diesel counterparts, apart from a new Nitro Crimson colour option. 

Both SUVs are powered by a new 1.5-litre Hyperion turbo-petrol engine producing 170 bhp and 280 Nm torque, paired with six-speed manual or automatic transmissions. 

Features include a 12.3-inch touchscreen, 10.25-inch digital cluster, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, JBL audio, and boss mode for rear in the Safari. Safety comprises seven airbags, ESP, 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS, with five-star Bharat NCAP ratings. 

The Harrier is priced from ₹12.89 lakh to ₹24.69 lakh, while the Safari starts at ₹13.29 lakh and goes up to ₹25.19 lakh.

Tata Punch Facelift

The Tata Punch facelift sports a refreshed look with LED headlights, a larger grille, and new alloy wheels for a fresh appeal. 

Powertrain options include a 1.2-litre petrol (88 hp) with an optional CNG (73.5 hp) mated to a 5-speed manual or an AMT, and an all-new 1.2 turbo-petrol (120 hp) paired to a 6-speed manual. 

Feature highlights include a 10.25-inch touchscreen, 7-inch driver MID, a sunroof, a 360-degree camera, ventilated seats, and wireless charging. Safety boasts a five-star Global and Bharat NCAP rating, with six airbags, ESP, hill hold, and TPMS. 

Prices range from ₹5.59 lakh to ₹10.55 lakh.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella

Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella

Toyota recently revealed its first EV in India, the Urban Cruiser Ebella. It sports an SUV stance with sleek LED lights, aerodynamic lines, and 18-inch alloys. 

It shares underpinnings with the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara. Battery options include 49kWh (144 hp) and 61kWh (174 hp) units, claiming up to 543km range. The drivetrain is FWD only. 

Features include dual 10.25-inch screens, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, JBL audio, and wireless charging. Safety covers seven airbags, a 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS.

Prices are expected to range from ₹16 lakh to slightly over ₹20 lakh.

Skoda Kushaq Facelift

Skoda Kushaq Facelift

Skoda has left everyone impressed with the Kushaq facelift. It gets a sharper front with slim LED headlights, an illuminated grille, and connected taillights with illuminated Skoda lettering.

Engine options are a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol (115 hp) with a new 8-speed torque converter automatic, and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol (150 hp) paired to a 7-speed DSG. 

Features include a twin-screen display with a 10-inch touchscreen and 10-inch instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and massaging rear seats. 

Safety includes six airbags, ESP, a 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS. 

Skoda has opened pre-bookings at ₹15,000. Expected prices range from ₹11 lakh to ₹19 lakh.

New Renault Duster 2026

Renault Duster 2026

The Renault Duster has finally made a comeback. The 2026 Duster features a muscular design with Y-shaped LED lights, flared arches, and a sloping roofline. 

Engine options on launch will include 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol, while a 1.8-litre strong-hybrid will arrive later. Transmissions will be a six-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT. 

The interior includes a 10.1-inch infotainment screen, a 7-inch cluster, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and wireless charging. Safety highlights include six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS. 

The new Renault Duster could be priced from ₹10 lakh to ₹20 lakh. Pre-bookings are already open.
