Yamaha R15 V4 and MT-15 V2 Monster Energy MotoGP Edition Launched at Rs 1.76 and 1.77 Lakh

Yamaha India has launched the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition of the R15 V4 and MT-15 V2, priced at Rs 1.76 lakh and Rs 1.77 lakh respectively, ex-showroom. Both bikes are mechanically unchanged from their standard counterparts, making this a cosmetics-only update.

The R15 V4 gets a matte black base with sharp blue and white graphic slashes running across the full fairing, tank, and belly pan.

The Monster Energy claw logo dominates the mid-fairing, while replica sponsor decals including ENEOS appear on the chin fairing, closely replicating the layout of Yamaha's actual factory MotoGP machine.

Blue rim tape and gold USD forks round off a look that feels considered rather than just slapped on. Being the M variant, it also comes with a quickshifter as standard.

The MT-15 carries the same colour treatment across its tank and side panels, with the Monster Energy branding sitting prominently on the tank flanks and a smaller claw logo on the front mudguard. The gold forks highlight the front end and give it visual weight that a naked bike can easily miss. It works better than expected without a fairing to carry the livery.

Engine and Rivals

Both bikes share the same 155cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 18.1 bhp and 14.2 Nm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The price premium over the equivalent standard variants is marginal, which keeps the decision straightforward for buyers drawn to the livery.

The R15 V4 goes up against the Suzuki Gixxer SF 155 and Honda CBR150R, while the MT-15 V2 competes with the Suzuki Gixxer 155 and TVS Apache RTR 160 4V.
