2027 Suzuki Hayabusa Revealed With New Colours And Lithium-Ion Battery

Suzuki has officially unveiled the 2027 Hayabusa, and it arrives in two variants, a standard model priced at $19,699 (roughly ₹18.96 lakh before duties) and a Special Edition at $20,399 (roughly ₹19.64 lakh before duties). Indian pricing is yet to be announced.
Suzuki hasn't touched the fundamentals, as the 1,340cc liquid-cooled 4-cylinder engine paired to a six-speed gearbox carry over. So does the twin-spar aluminium frame, 264 kg weight and an 800 mm seat height.
What Has Actually Changed for 2027

The biggest update is a new lithium-ion battery sourced from ELIIY Power, replacing the conventional lead-acid unit. That is a meaningful weight saving on a 264 kg motorcycle, and it should also offer better starting reliability and longer service life.
The S.I.R.S. (Suzuki Intelligent Ride System) gets a software update rather than new hardware. Additionally, Launch Control now uses revised engine speeds for better effectiveness, and Smart Cruise Control no longer cancels when you shift using the bi-directional quick shifter, a small but overdue fix.

Colours and Special Edition

The standard Hayabusa comes in Glass Sparkle Black or Metallic Reflective Blue, both carrying the signature Hayabusa kanji logos on the side cowls.
The Special Edition wears a Pearl Brilliant White and Metallic Oort Gray scheme with red accents, exclusive badging, black exhaust end caps, and a colour-matched solo seat cowl included as standard, where the regular model sells that cowl as an accessory.
Brembo Stylema front calipers, KYB suspension, Bridgestone Battlax S22 tyres, and IMU-linked Motion Track ABS remain standard across both variants.
For the Indian market, the real question is whether Suzuki India will bring the 2027 model year with the new lithium-ion battery or continue selling older stock.
