Yamaha’s brand-new Aerox E is finally here and is priced at Rs. 2,81,600 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). This is the brand's second electric scooter in India, after the EC-06.
The Aerox E features a design similar to the Aerox 155 but comes with an electric powertrain.

The scooter features a 9.4kW motor, hitting a top speed of 95.5 km/h. A dual 1.5kWh removable battery setup with a claimed IDC range of 117km is also a part of the package.
It gets three riding modes - Eco, Standard, and Power, helping you adjust the top speed and throttle response. Moreover, there is a power boost control that provides a short burst of acceleration to let you have more fun, and reverse mode for convenience.

Suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers at the rear. It rides on 14-inch alloy wheels, and stopping power is managed by disc brakes at both ends, featuring single-channel ABS.
Key features include a TFT display with smartphone integration for turn-by-turn directions, weather updates, and call/SMS notifications. The 15-litre underside storage adds practicality.
At Rs 2.82 lakh, the Yamaha Aerox E is over Rs 1 lakh more expensive as compared to rivals like the Ather 450 Apex and OLA S1 Pro Sport. However, it is significantly more affordable than the BMW CE 02, which costs Rs 4.49 lakh.
