All-New Bajaj Pulsar 150 Launched at Rs 1.15 Lakh With a New Engine, Frame, and TFT Navigation

The all-new Bajaj Pulsar 150 has been launched at Rs 1,15,233, ex-showroom, Delhi. It comes with a new frame, a new engine, monoshock suspension, and features that were unthinkable on this bike even three years ago.
The bike has been one of the most stubbornly loyal sellers in India's 150cc segment for over two decades. Buyers kept choosing it not because Bajaj kept refreshing it, but in spite of how rarely it changed, which changes with this launch.

Three variants are on offer, with a relatively tight spread across the range.
| Variant | Price (Ex-Showroom, Delhi) |
|---|---|
| LCD, Single Seat | Rs 1,15,233 |
| TFT, Single Seat | Rs 1,22,184 |
| TFT, Split Seat | Rs 1,23,187 |
The jump from the base to the mid variant costs Rs 6,951. For that, you get a 5-inch TFT display with Google Maps mirroring, a rear disc, LED indicators, hazard lights, and an idle start-stop system.
That is a fairly strong package for the money. Moving to the split-seat TFT after that costs just Rs 1,003 more, so it essentially comes down to a seating style preference at that point.
What Has Changed
| Specification | Details |
|---|---|
| Engine | 149.5cc, air and oil-cooled, single-cylinder, 5-speed |
| Power / Torque | 13.8 BHP @ 8,500 rpm / 13.7 Nm @ 6,500 rpm |
| Frame | Diamond-type (new) |
| Suspension | Telescopic fork (front), preload-adjustable monoshock (rear) |
| Brakes | 260mm disc (front), 230mm disc or 130mm drum (rear) |
| Wheels / Tyres | 17-inch alloys, 80-section front / 120-section rear |
| Colours | Saffire Blue, Ebony Black Ink Blue, Black Magenta Red, Fury Red, Pearl Metallic White |
The biggest mechanical change is the new diamond-type frame, which now takes a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear in place of the old twin-shock setup. Up front, the telescopic fork carries over.
Powering it is the all-new 149.5cc air and oil-cooled engine making 13.8 BHP and 13.7 Nm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Bajaj says 85 percent of peak torque is accessible from 3,000 rpm, which should make city riding less of an effort.

All three variants get ride modes (Road, Rain, Sport), Crawl Tech, an all-LED headlamp, and a USB Type-C port. Crawl Tech, which lets the bike inch forward in slow traffic without constant throttle input, is likely the more appreciated addition in daily use.
The base variant gets a colour LCD with Bluetooth, turn-by-turn navigation, and call and SMS alerts. TFT variants add Google Maps mirroring, which Bajaj claims is a segment first.
On design, Bajaj has wisely held on to the Pulsar 150's signature silhouette and tank shape. The headlamp, tank shrouds, tail-light, and chin fairing have all been updated, but the overall character reads as an evolved Pulsar rather than a clean-sheet replacement.
Availability and Rivals
The new Pulsar 150 is on sale across Bajaj dealerships from today. It competes with the Honda Unicorn, TVS Apache RTR 160 2V, Hero Xtreme 160R, and Yamaha FZ-S Fi in this segment.
