India’s electric two-wheeler market kicked off 2026 with Ather Energy dominating and, widening the gap over competitors, while several players showed steady growth and recovery.

Ather Energy Ltd

Ather Energy delivered a phenomenal performance in March 2026 with a massive spike to 33,621 units, bouncing back strongly from 20,831 in February and 22,146 in January.

This surge was largely driven by their runaway bestseller, the Rizta family scooter, which now accounts for over 60 to 70% of their total sales.

The Rizta’s practical design, comfortable seating, and features tailored for daily family use have made it a favourite in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

Ather’s premium 450 series including 450X, 450S, and Apex continues to attract performance enthusiasts with fast charging and advanced software.

Ola Electric Technologies Pvt Ltd

Ola Electric had a highly volatile quarter with 7,534 units in January, a sharp crash to 3,973 in February, followed by a recovery to 9,464 in March.

After years of aggressive growth, the company is in the middle of a major structural reset, focusing heavily on improving service quality with around 80% same-day resolutions, reducing operating costs, and pushing vertical integration with its Gigafactory and in-house 4680 Bharat cells.

Greaves Electric Mobility Pvt Ltd

Greaves Electric Mobility (Ampere) showed impressive consistency with 5,343 units in January, 4,725 in February, and a strong 7,408 in March.

They even briefly outsold Ola in February, entering the top five. Ampere’s approach is simple and effective, focusing on reliable, affordable electric scooters for practical users in smaller towns and rural areas.

Best sellers like Magnus and Primus deliver good range, sturdy build, and low maintenance, exactly what mass market buyers expect.

River Mobility Pvt Ltd

River Mobility posted steady numbers with 2,621 units in January, 2,316 in February, and a solid jump to 3,924 in March.

Their Indie scooter and other offerings are gaining popularity among young urban buyers who want a mix of style, technology, and usable performance without going fully premium.

River’s strategy revolves around clean design, strong build quality, and a user-focused experience with features like fast charging and connected tech.

Revolt Intellicorp Pvt Ltd

Revolt saw a healthy rise with 666 units in January, 650 in February, and 1,172 in March.

The brand stands out with its swappable battery system, which helps reduce range anxiety and lowers ownership costs for budget-conscious buyers.

Their pricing and practicality appeal strongly to first-time EV users, especially in smaller cities.

Revolt’s strategy is centred on accessibility, making electric mobility affordable through battery swapping networks.

E-Sprinto Green Energy Pvt Ltd

E-Sprinto recorded 1,763 units in January, dropped to 856 in February, and recovered slightly to 927 in March.

As a value-focused brand, it targets daily commuters who prioritise affordability and practicality over brand image.

Their scooters offer usable range, simple construction, and low running costs, making them relevant for hyper-fast delivery platforms like Dominos, Zepto, Blinkit, and more.

Lectrix E Vehicles Pvt Ltd

Lectrix showed gradual improvement with 459 units in January, 674 in February, and 711 in March.

Backed by the SAR Group, the brand positions itself as a durable and practical option for both urban and semi-rural users.

Motovolt Mobility Pvt Ltd

Motovolt started small with 137 units in January, grew to 212 in February, and jumped to 540 in March.

The brand focuses on young urban buyers who want distinctive styling and modern features.

Their approach is to stand out through design and technology rather than just competing on price.

Oben Electric Vehicles Pvt Ltd

Oben maintained steady growth with 362 units in January, 387 in February, and 533 in March.

As a performance-focused electric motorcycle brand, they cater to riders looking for excitement rather than just daily commuting.

Their products like the Rorr emphasise acceleration, handling, and sporty dynamics.

Kinetic Green Energy & Power Solutions Ltd

Kinetic Green remained stable with 501 units in January, 422 in February, and 427 in March.

As a legacy name, the brand combines long-standing two-wheeler experience with electric technology to deliver practical and durable products.

Odysse Electric Vehicles Pvt Ltd

Odysse recorded 301 units in January, 326 in February, and 376 in March.

The brand offers stylish scooters with balanced performance and pricing, targeting urban families.

Komaki reported 300 units in January, 325 in February, and 364 in March.

The brand has a strong presence in northern markets and offers a wide range of affordable electric two-wheelers.

Ultraviolette posted 357 units in January, 272 in February, and 265 in March.

Positioned as a high-performance electric motorcycle brand, they target enthusiasts with advanced machines like the F77 range.

Their approach is purely premium, built around cutting-edge engineering and strong performance credentials.

Okinawa Autotech Pvt Ltd

Okinawa recorded 128 units in January, 112 in February, and 126 in March.

Once a major player, the company is now in a rebuilding phase, focusing on improving quality, service, and customer trust.
