Tata Altroz (Creative S DCA)

The facelifted Altroz comes with a 1.2L Revotron engine paired with a 6-speed wet-clutch DCA. Unlike dry-clutch setups, this unit is engineered for better heat management in heavy traffic.

Compared to the old one the facelift also has rejigged variant names. The Creative S trim features a futuristic interior headlined by a 10.24-inch infotainment screen and a unique digital steering wheel with an illuminated logo.

Externally, the car retains its sharp, "Laser-cut" design language, characterized by 90-degree opening doors and a flat-floor rear cabin that prioritizes passenger ergonomics over typical hatchback constraints.

Kia Sonet (HTK O DCT)

Kia restructured the Sonet lineup earlier in 2026, and the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic now starts from the mid-spec HTK (O) trim instead of a higher variant, pairing the compact SUV with Kia's 1.0-litre Smartstream turbo-petrol engine.

The three-cylinder turbo motor produces 118 bhp of power and 172 Nm of torque, delivering quick gear shifts and strong mid-range performance suited to city and highway driving. Kia Sonet also offers a practical 5-seat cabin with a 385-litre boot.

Special Mention

The Hyundai i20 N Line used to be an honorable mention here with an entry-level DCT priced just above ₹10 lakh, but that variant, the N6 DCT, has since been discontinued. The 7-speed dual-clutch automatic is now offered only on the fully-loaded N8 trim, pushing the cheapest i20 N Line DCT up to around ₹11.6 lakh ex-showroom, a noticeably bigger step up than before.

In exchange for the higher price, the N8 DCT adds kit the old N6 DCT didn't get, including LED headlamps, a Bose sound system, a bigger 26.03cm touchscreen with navigation, a dashcam, and wireless charging. Power comes from the same 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine (998cc, 3-cylinder) producing 118 bhp and 172 Nm, paired with the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
