Quick Read - The Toyota Innova Hycross facelift is set to launch in India on November 26, 2026. The update could introduce revised styling and an E85-compatible strong-hybrid powertrain.
Toyota is reportedly preparing to launch the facelifted Innova Hycross in India on November 26, nearly four years after the MPV went on sale in November 2022. It is expected to bring a revised exterior, with a possible flex-fuel hybrid powertrain.
The front end is expected to receive the most noticeable changes, including a redesigned grille, updated lighting elements and a revised bumper. The side profile meanwhile is likely to remain largely unchanged, although the facelift could bring new alloy wheel designs. Interior changes are also possible, but details have not emerged yet.

Flex-Fuel Hybrid Could Be the Biggest Update
The facelift could introduce an E85-compatible strong-hybrid powertrain, allowing the MPV to run on fuel containing up to 85% ethanol. Toyota had showcased an electrified flex-fuel prototype based on the Innova Hycross in August 2023, using a modified 2.0-litre petrol engine paired with an electric motor.
The prototype featured changes to the engine and fuel system to handle higher ethanol concentrations while retaining the benefits of hybrid technology. A production version could help reduce petrol consumption, although its final fuel compatibility, efficiency and performance figures remain unconfirmed.
The current Innova Hycross is offered with a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 2.0-litre strong-hybrid powertrain. Whether the facelift will retain both options alongside a flex-fuel version will become clearer closer to its reported launch.
Toyota has yet to officially confirm the November 26 date, the production-spec flex-fuel system or the facelift’s pricing and feature list. More details are expected as the launch approaches.
