Land Rover Defender Gets Cheaper by Up to Rs 34 Lakh After Local Assembly

Quick Read - JLR has started assembling the Defender 110 in Pune, bringing its starting price down to Rs 99 lakh. The 3.0-litre petrol and diesel versions are now cheaper by Rs 34 lakh, while the entry-level 2.0-litre petrol gets a Rs 14 lakh price cut.

Land Rover has started local assembly of the Defender 110 at Jaguar Land Rover India's Pune facility, reducing prices by up to Rs 34 lakh. The luxury SUV was previously imported as a completely built unit (CBU) from Slovakia and is now assembled in India using the completely knocked down (CKD) route.

The locally assembled Defender 110 is available in the X-Dynamic HSE trim with three engine options. The price reduction comes alongside additional features being offered as standard, making the entry-level version more accessible.
