Maxi scooters are larger, more powerful scooters designed for comfort on longer rides and daily commutes. They usually come with aggressive styling, bigger wheels (often 12-14 inches), spacious seating, good storage, and stronger engines than regular scooters.

In India, this segment is growing fast as riders look for premium options that offer style, features, and ease of use in city traffic as well as on highways.

Here are all the Maxi scooters available in the market as of today.

The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 brings a premium maxi-scooter look at an affordable price. Its styling is elegant with a long, comfortable seat, wide floorboard, and sleek body lines that give it a big-scooter feel. It has LED lights and a neat digital instrument cluster.

Powered by a 124cc air-cooled engine, it produces around 8.3-8.6 bhp and 10.2 Nm of torque. This setup delivers smooth performance for city use with good mileage of about 45-50 kmpl.

Features include a large under-seat storage (around 21-24 litres), keyless ignition in higher variants, Bluetooth connectivity, and a disc brake at the front with CBS.

Features include keyless entry, Bluetooth with turn-by-turn navigation, i3s start-stop, digital cluster, and single-channel ABS. The 7-litre tank and good storage add practicality.

Yamaha Aerox 155

Yamaha Aerox 155

The Yamaha Aerox 155 is a sporty maxi-scooter with aggressive styling, sharp bodywork, and a premium finish. It looks dynamic with its sleek fairing and sporty graphics. The riding position is comfortable yet engaging, and 14-inch wheels provide stability.

Keeway Vieste 300

The Keeway Vieste 300 offers a true European maxi-scooter experience with premium styling, a large body, and comfortable ergonomics. It has a touring-oriented design with good wind protection and spacious seating for long rides.

Powered by a 278cc liquid-cooled engine, it makes about 19 bhp and 22 Nm of torque. Performance is strong with effortless cruising and a top speed over 120 kmph, though mileage is around 25-30 kmpl.

It includes disc brakes on both ends, LED lighting, and digital instrumentation.

BMW C 400 GT

BMW C 400 GT

The BMW C 400 GT is the flagship luxury maxi-scooter in India. Its styling is sophisticated with a tall windscreen, premium build quality, and elegant lines that scream refinement. It offers excellent comfort with a relaxed riding posture.

The 350cc liquid-cooled engine produces 34 hp and 35 Nm, delivering smooth, powerful performance with a top speed near 140 kmph. Mileage is around 25-28 kmpl.

Honda ADV160

Honda is gearing up to introduce the ADV160, an adventure-style maxi-scooter, likely in late 2026. Codenamed K4LA, it features a liquid-cooled 157cc engine producing 16 bhp and 14.7 Nm of torque.

Expect rugged styling with higher ground clearance, 14/13-inch wheels, adjustable windscreen, traction control, dual-channel ABS in some variants, and generous under-seat storage (around 30 litres).

It will rival the Aerox 155 and Xoom 160 with a balance of city agility and light adventure capability. Pricing is expected around ₹1.3-1.6 lakh.

TVS 160CC Maxi Scooter

TVS is developing a new 160cc liquid-cooled maxi-scooter platform, expected by the end of 2027.

It could take a sporty, adventure, or conventional form and will likely come loaded with advanced connectivity and features, building on TVS's expertise in the premium segment.

Not much more is known about this scooter as of now.

Yamaha NMax 155

The Yamaha NMax 155 is another strong prospect, expected towards the end of 2026.

It shares the 155cc liquid-cooled engine with the Aerox, delivering around 15 bhp.

It is likely to offer a more conventional yet premium maxi-scooter experience with refined styling, comfortable ergonomics, and practical features like a large storage compartment, TFT display, navigation, and ride modes.

This model should provide a relaxed riding experience focused on comfort and efficiency.
