The i20 N Line is powered by a 1.0-litre turbocharged GDi petrol engine, which produces 118 hp and a peak torque of 172 Nm. This engine is paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

The i20 N Line has an ARAI-certified mileage of 20 kmpl for both the 6-speed manual transmission and the 7-speed DCT, supported by the fuel tank that holds 37 litres.

Inside the i20 N Line, the dashboard gets black upholstery with red inserts, complemented by an electric sunroof as standard. Whereas the three-spoke steering wheel is wrapped in perforated leather with red stitching and carries the N logo alongside audio and Bluetooth controls.

For infotainment, the setup is available with up to a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen that includes wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, voice recognition, and Hyundai Bluelink connectivity with over-the-air map updates.

At the rear, the design is highlighted by Z-shaped LED tail lamps connected by a dark chrome garnish.

This is rounded out by a tailgate spoiler with side wings, a twin-tip muffler, a black skid plate, and again an N Line emblem on the tailgate.

The i20 N Line shares its platform with the standard Hyundai i20, which holds a 3-star Global NCAP rating for both adult and child occupant protection, scoring 8.84 out of 17 and 36.89 out of 49 respectively, in its 2 airbag configuration.

As for safety equipment, the N Line gets six airbags and disc brakes on all four wheels. This is supported by ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, and hill-start assist control.

For monitoring and parking assistance, every model comes equipped with a built-in dashcam, tyre pressure monitoring, rear parking sensors, a driver rear-view monitor, and a rear camera with dynamic guidelines.

Additional elements feature an emergency stop signal, speed-sensing auto door locks, impact-sensing auto door unlocks, seatbelt pretensioners, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and a high-mount stop lamp.

The i20 N Line’s closest rival in its segment is the Skoda Kylaq, which has a 446-litre boot and higher ground clearance, along with a 1.0 TSI engine and solid build quality. The i20 N Line, meanwhile, stands out for its claimed ARAI mileage of 20 kmpl, six airbags as standard across the range, and its N Line-specific exterior and interior detailing.
