Nissan India is expected to reveal its all-new compact MPV, the Gravite, in January 2026. Drawing from the strong Renault-Nissan alliance, it will be a badge-engineered version of the Renault Triber, sharing the same platform and overall design language.
While full details are still under wraps, we can expect the Triber's best features to make their way into the Gravite. Let us dive into the key highlights that the Nissan MPV could feature.
Bold and Sharp Front Fascia

While the Gravite shares the Triber's platform, Nissan will add its own signature style to give it a unique look. The teaser gave a fairly good idea of what the Gravite could look like, sporting a bold front grille, sharper LED headlights, and an aggressive front bumper with silver skid plates, lending a rather tough and sporty vibe.
The side and rear profiles are where the Gravite could be mistaken for the Triber, with an identical silhouette and taillamps.
The teaser featured the Gravite in an Emerald Green-like colour, which definitely elevates its road presence, and could be a popular choice if it looks as good in natural, real-life lighting conditions as well.
High on Space and Practicality
One of the Triber's biggest value-for-money aspects is its clever space management, and the Gravite will surely follow these footsteps. Despite its compact body, it can comfortably seat seven people.
Boot space stands at 84 litres with all the seats up. The third row seats slide, recline, fold, and can even be taken out to expand the boot space to a massive 625 litres.
While the teaser did not reveal the interiors, Nissan could tweak the dashboard design and offer new upholstery to give the Gravite a fresher appeal.

Tech and Comfort

The Gravite is expected to borrow the Triber's user-friendly tech. An eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system should take centre stage, supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The four speakers paired with two tweeters deliver clear audio quality.
Dedicated AC vents on all three rows will help keep everyone cool in hot summers, while all-four power windows could be standard, elevating comfort for those opting for lower variants.
Tried and Tested Powertrains
The Gravite will be powered by the 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that does duty on the Triber, and lower variants of the Magnite and Kiger.
Producing around 72 BHP and 96 Nm of torque, it is mated to either a five-speed manual gearbox or a convenient AMT. While it may not be an exciting engine and gearbox combo to drive, it is adequate for the city and short highway runs.
The Gravite’s low running costs will make it popular among growing families.

Strong Safety Suite

Safety standards have stepped up in the latest Triber, and the Gravite will surely follow suit.
Six airbags, along with ABS, EBD, ESP, Hill-Start Assist, and Traction Control, should be standard across the range. Rear parking sensors will help in tricky situations. ISOFIX seat mounts for child seats and three-point belts for all passengers round out the package.
Overall, it promises peace of mind without buyers having to stretch their budgets to higher variants.
The Nissan Gravite has all the makings of a smart compact family MPV. With its affordable price range, expected to range from around ₹6.00 lakh to ₹9.00 lakh, it could shake up the entry-level MPV segment.
