Hyundai India is poised to refresh its popular compact SUV lineup with the launch of the next-generation Venue, expected during the festive season or by the end of 2025. With spy shots emerging from both Indian roads and international markets, the updated Venue promises a blend of modern design cues, enhanced features, and retained powertrain options to maintain its competitive edge in the bustling compact SUV segment.
This is more likely to be a comprehensive facelift rather than an all-new platform, drawing inspiration from its larger siblings like the Creta and Alcazar to elevate its appeal.
The development of the next-gen Hyundai Venue has been underway for months, with the first test mule spotted in India as early as October 2024. Subsequent sightings occurred in Gurugram and other parts of the country in April and May 2025, showcasing heavily camouflaged prototypes undergoing rigorous road tests.
More recently, in June 2025, prototypes were captured in international markets, including South Korea, hinting at a global rollout strategy. These sightings confirm Hyundai's commitment to launching the model in India around October 2025, aligning with the festive demand surge.
Design Updates: A Fresher, More Sophisticated Look

The next-gen Venue could continue to adopt Hyundai's current design language, deriving design elements from the Creta and Alcazar. At the front, expect a redesigned fascia with quad-LED headlamps integrated into a split setup, connected LED DRLs, and a larger central grille for a bolder presence.
The rear will feature redesigned connected LED taillamps, maintaining the signature wraparound style but with updated elements for a fresher and more premium appeal.
The side profile retains the familiar boxy silhouette that has defined the Venue's rugged appeal, with minimal changes to the overall shape. However, the spy images revealed thicker body cladding around the wheel arches for added muscularity, along with new 16- or 17-inch alloy wheel designs.
Venue N Line Launch to follow

Alongside the standard model, the next-gen Venue N Line has been spotted testing as well, particularly in South Korea, signaling its impending arrival. It shares the core design updates with the regular Venue but stands out with distinct alloy wheels. Though heavily camouflaged, it will also get N Line-specific styling accents for a more dynamic appearance.
Mechanically, the N Line is anticipated to retain sportier enhancements like a stiffer suspension setup for sharper handling and a more feedback-rich steering system, building on the current model's performance-oriented traits.
Interior: Expected Upgrades for Enhanced Comfort and Tech
Although interior spy shots remain elusive, the next-gen Venue is expected to feature an all-new dashboard layout, drawing inspiration from recent Hyundai and Kia models like the Creta, Alcazar, and Sonet. This could include a larger, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a fully digital instrument cluster, and premium materials for a more upscale cabin.
Anticipated additions borrowed from its South Korean spec model and bigger siblings include a panoramic sunroof, front ventilated seats, wireless charging, and connected car tech with over 60 Bluelink features for enhanced convenience.
Powertrain Options
Hyundai is likely to carry over the existing engine options into the new Venue, ensuring familiarity and reliability. The 1.2-litre Naturally Aspirated Petrol producing 82 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm at 4,000 rpm, is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Ideal for city driving with efficient fuel economy.
The 1.0-litre Turbocharged Petrol delivers 118 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 172 Nm of torque between 1,500-4,000 rpm, mated to a 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT (clutchless manual), or a 7-speed DCT automatic for convenience and spirited performance.
The 1.5-litre Diesel offers 114 bhp at 4,000 rpm and 250 Nm between 1,500-2,750 rpm, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, providing strong low-end torque and highway efficiency. A 6-speed torque converter could be on offer as well.
The new Venue could see a major safety upgrade, with six airbags likely to be standard across all variants, along with ABS with EBD. Top-end trims could add advanced safety tech from the South Korean spec Venue, such as Level 2 ADAS features, brake assist, electronic stability program (ESP), traction control, hill-start assist, and a speed alert system. A 360-degree camera and front parking sensors could further enhance maneuverability in tight, tricky spaces.
Competition and Pricing
The new Venue will continue to battle it out in the fiercely competitive compact SUV arena against rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Kia Sonet, and others. Its refreshed styling, feature upgrades, and safety enhancements aim to justify a premium over the current model's starting price of ₹7.94 lakh (ex-showroom). Expect the base variant to start around ₹8.00 to 8.50 lakh, with top trims pushing towards the ₹14 to 15 lakh range.
As Hyundai gears up for the next-generation Venue's debut, the model is shaping up to be a promising choice for urban buyers seeking style, technology, and safety in a compact package. With its refreshed bold design, wide variety of powetrains powertrains, and advanced features, it could strengthen Hyundai's dominance in the segment.
