Mahindra has been leaving no stone unturned when it comes to building hype around its upcoming SUVs. Following the Bolero and Thar facelifts, it is their flagship - the XUV7OO, that was spotted testing out on the roads. The SUV has been a gamechanger for Mahindra, but having been launched in 2021, it was due a facelift. Despite being heavily camouflaged, we noticed some interesting details.

What’s New?

Latest spyshots of the test mule reveal the XUV7OO featuring a triple screen layout infotainment system, recently seen in its electric sibling, the XEV 9E. The ‘Cinemascope’ screen, as Mahindra likes to call it, could be the same 12.3 inch unit as that of the XEV 9E, offering advanced connectivity options. This is an upgrade over the ongoing model’s dual screen setup.

On the design front, the XUV7OO is expected to get new sets of headlamps and taillamps, a redesigned front grille, revised front and rear bumpers, and a new set of alloy wheels.

Apart from the visible changes, the SUV could get updated ADAS tech, auto dimming IRVMs, auto park assist, and ventilated seats for the second row on the 6-Seater version.

Engine and Transmissions

The XUV7OO facelift is expected to continue being powered by the same 2.0 litre turbo petrol engine producing 197 bhp and 380 Nm of torque, and 2.2 litre turbo diesel engine churning out 182 bhp and 450 Nm of torque. Both engines will be paired to a 6 speed manual or automatic transmission. Like the ongoing model, expect an All Wheel Drive (AWD) powertrain option in the facelift as well.

XUV 7OO Facelift Launch

According to speculations, the SUV could get renamed, just like its younger sibling, and be called the XUV 7XO instead. It is expected to hit the Indian roads in early 2026.
