Skoda Kodiaq L&K Petrol Turbo Automatic

The Skoda Kodiaq is a premium 7-seater SUV, and also the brand's flagship SUV in India.
It is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI EVO engine, producing 200 bhp and 320 Nm of torque, paired to a 7-speed DCT for quick shifts.
Its third row is usable for children or shorter adults, and the boot space stands at 340 litres with all the seats in use. This can be increased to 780 litres with the third row folded down.
Safety suite is elaborate, with 9 airbags, ESP, ABS with EBD, and Multi-Collision Brake. It boasts a 5-star Euro NCAP rating.

Volkswagen Tayron R-Line

The Volkswagen Tayron R-Line is a sporty 7-seater SUV, essentially a longer Tiguan R-Line, and shares its platform and powertrain with the Kodiaq.
Power comes from the same 2.0-litre TSI EVO engine, producing 200 bhp and 320 Nm of torque, paired to a 7-speed DCT.
Its three-row layout can seat seven people, and the third row can be folded down to open up 850 litres of boot space.
Safety is top-notch with 9 airbags, ESP, hill-start assist and hill-descent control, a 360-degree camera, and a Level 2 ADAS. The Tayron has also received a 5-star Euro NCAP rating.
Toyota Fortuner Legender 4WD Automatic

The Toyota Fortuner Legender boasts a robust powertrain with a 2.8-litre turbocharged diesel engine delivering 201 bhp and 500 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission featuring manual override, paddle shifters, and sport mode.
Its third row offers a bench seat with 50:50 split-folding, 4-way manual adjustments for backrest and headrests, roof-mounted AC vents, and 296 litres of boot space, providing adequate room for shorter passengers or kids on family outings.
Safety is top-notch with a 5-star Australian NCAP rating, 7 airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP, traction control, hill hold/descent assist, limited-slip differential, and optional TPMS.

MG Majestor

The MG Majestor is the Fortuner's latest rival, set for a launch very soon. Biggest in its class, it is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine that produces 215 bhp and a strong 478.5 Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. It will also come with a 4x4 drivetrain.
It gets 343 litres of boot space with all the seats up, which expands to over 1,250 litres when the third row is folded.
Six airbags, Level 2 ADAS features, a 360-degree camera, and many other advanced systems take care of safety.
