BMW

BMW led the luxury pack in early 2026 with 2,035 units in January, dipping to 1,273 in February before recovering to 1,434 in March

The brand is aggressively closing the gap on Mercedes-Benz, riding high on the success of the BMW iX1 and strong demand for X3, X5, and 5 Series LWB. BMW’s strategy focuses heavily on electrification (EVs made up 21% of 2025 sales) and local sourcing.

In 2026, they plan to launch 10 new models including the flagship Neue Klasse multiple EVs and MINI variants.

Mercedes Benz

Mercedes-Benz posted 1,811 units in January, 1,341 in February, and 1,230 in March. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB remains India’s highest-selling luxury car, while the Top-End Vehicles (S-Class, Maybach, AMG) now contribute 25% of sales with strong growth in AMG G63 and Maybach GLS (now locally assembled).

They have also refreshed their flagship S class, the MPV V Class and its Maybach variants recently

Jaguar Land Rover

Porsche

Porsche moved 67 units in January, 38 in February, and 41 in March. The Porsche Cayenne and Porsche Macan (including electric variants) drive most volumes, with the Porsche 911 remaining the ultimate halo car for enthusiasts. Porsche’s India strategy focuses on performance, exclusivity, and emotional appeal rather than high volumes.

Aud

Audi had a quiet quarter with 27 units in January, 12 in February, and 14 in March. The Audi Q5, Audi Q7, and Audi A6 LWB form the backbone, while the Audi e-tron range supports their electrification push. After strong growth in previous years, Audi is focusing on refreshing its SUV lineup and the upcoming A6
