BMW Sold Most Luxury Cars In March 2026
With Audi out of the picture, expect the top 3 spots to be contested by Mercedes, BMW, and Jaguar Land Rover.

BMW
BMW led the luxury pack in early 2026 with 2,035 units in January, dipping to 1,273 in February before recovering to 1,434 in March
The brand is aggressively closing the gap on Mercedes-Benz, riding high on the success of the BMW iX1 and strong demand for X3, X5, and 5 Series LWB. BMW’s strategy focuses heavily on electrification (EVs made up 21% of 2025 sales) and local sourcing.
In 2026, they plan to launch 10 new models including the flagship Neue Klasse multiple EVs and MINI variants.
Mercedes Benz
Mercedes-Benz posted 1,811 units in January, 1,341 in February, and 1,230 in March. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB remains India’s highest-selling luxury car, while the Top-End Vehicles (S-Class, Maybach, AMG) now contribute 25% of sales with strong growth in AMG G63 and Maybach GLS (now locally assembled).
They have also refreshed their flagship S class, the MPV V Class and its Maybach variants recently
Jaguar Land Rover
Jaguar Land Rover recorded 492 units in January, peaked at 525 in February, and settled at 414 in March. The Land Rover Defender continues as the star performer and highest-selling model, supported by locally produced Range Rover and Range Rover Sport.
Volvo
Volvo Cars delivered 182 units in January, 133 in February, and 118 in March. The Volvo XC90 and Volvo XC60 remain core sellers, with growing interest in the electric Volvo EX30 and upcoming Volvo EX90 (expected later in 2026).
Porsche
Porsche moved 67 units in January, 38 in February, and 41 in March. The Porsche Cayenne and Porsche Macan (including electric variants) drive most volumes, with the Porsche 911 remaining the ultimate halo car for enthusiasts. Porsche’s India strategy focuses on performance, exclusivity, and emotional appeal rather than high volumes.
Aud
Audi had a quiet quarter with 27 units in January, 12 in February, and 14 in March. The Audi Q5, Audi Q7, and Audi A6 LWB form the backbone, while the Audi e-tron range supports their electrification push. After strong growth in previous years, Audi is focusing on refreshing its SUV lineup and the upcoming A6

Lamborghini
Lamborghini recorded 10 units in January, 4 in February, and 5 in March. The Lamborghini Urus (especially the SE hybrid) dominates sales, with occasional Lamborghini Revuelto and Lamborghini Huracan successor deliveries
Maserati
Maserati posted 3 units in January, 1 in February, and 4 in March. The Maserati Grecale and Maserati Quattroporte are key offerings, blending Italian style with sporty character.
Bentley
Bentley Motors moved 7 units in January, 6 in February, and 3 in March. The Bentley Bentayga leads demand, followed by Bentley Continental GT and Bentley Flying Spur.
Ferrari
Ferrari delivered a combined 4 units in January, 2 in February, and 4 in March across both importers. Models like Ferrari Purosangue, Ferrari SF90, and Ferrari 296 GTB attract collectors and enthusiasts. Their upcoming cars include Amalfi Spyder, Testarossa 849, and 296 Speciale
McLaren
McLaren Automotive recorded 2 units in January, 0 in February, and 1 in March. The McLaren 750S, McLaren Artura, and McLaren GT represent their ultra-performance offerings.
