The all-new Nissan Tekton, priced between ₹10.49 lakh and ₹18.59 lakh (ex-showroom), is offered in six main variants, from Visia to Tekna+. It shares its platform with the Duster and boasts a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating.
Here is every Tekton variant explained in detail. You can also check our similar breakdown of the Kia Seltos, one of its close rivals.
It is powered by 1.0-litre and 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engines with manual and DCT automatic options. Fuel efficiency is expected in the range of around 18-19+ kmpl depending on the powertrain.
Additionally, standard safety includes six airbags, while higher variants add features such as a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, a large touchscreen, and more.

Tekton Visia

The base Visia is not a car most buyers should actually drive home. You get a 7-inch screen, steel wheels, and six airbags, which is a fair safety baseline, but there is no touchscreen infotainment, no rear camera, and no alloys.
Owners who have driven the mechanically identical Duster describe the base-spec cabin as plain, with hard, scratchy plastics that feel every bit their price point. So skip it unless you are buying purely on badge and plan to add nothing.

Tekton Visia+

For roughly ₹65,000 more than Visia, you get the single most important upgrade in the entire range: a 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, plus a rear camera.
This is the proper entry point to the Tekton, not Visia. If your budget caps at ₹11 lakh and you refuse to drive without CarPlay or a reversing camera, this trim earns its place.
Everything else, including the drum rear brakes and steel wheels, stays identical to Visia, so you are strictly paying for connectivity and camera here, nothing more.

Tekton Acenta

Acenta is where the Tekton starts feeling like a proper mid-size SUV rather than a stripped-down car. It is also the first trim offering the punchier 1.3L T280 engine with a DCT option, alongside keyless entry, push-button start, and a bigger 10.1-inch screen.
Owners of the mechanically identical Duster DCT describe the transmission as smooth in daily driving but noticeably conservative on hard throttle inputs, a trait that suits calm commuters more than spirited drivers.
Acenta suits buyers who want the bigger engine without paying for a sunroof or leatherette they will not use.

Tekton N-Connecta

N-Connecta is the volume-driver trim, and for good reason. A panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, a 10.25-inch digital cockpit, and 18-inch alloys arrive here, alongside the T280 engine in both MT and DCT forms.
It sits in a sweet spot of the lineup: feature-rich enough to not feel like a compromise, without crossing into Tekna money for ADAS features most city buyers will not use daily anyway.
If you want one Tekton variant recommended without hesitation, this is it.

Tekton Tekna

Tekna is the trim where Nissan's 15-feature ADAS suite, ventilated front seats, and a smart air purifier show up.
The jump from N-Connecta is steep at nearly ₹1.7 lakh, and much of it goes toward safety tech rather than visible luxury.
Based on how the Duster's ADAS calibration has been described by some drivers, lane keep assist can feel slightly aggressive out of the box, though it is switchable.
Get this if ADAS and long-term resale matter more to you than outright cabin feature richness.

Tekton Tekna+

Tekna+ is for buyers who want Google built directly into the car, not just mirrored from their phone. Native Google Maps, Assistant, and Play Store access, plus a 360-degree camera and powered tailgate, justify the price only if you actually use in-car navigation daily rather than defaulting to CarPlay.
The tri-tone Burgundy-Beige-Rose Gold interior is a nice upgrade choice as well.
Unless the Google ecosystem or that specific cabin theme very much appeals to you, N-Connecta or Tekna deliver better value per rupee.

What's Common Across All Tata Nissan Tekton Variants?
Every Tekton, regardless of trim, gets six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, TCS, hill start assist, and ISOFIX mounts, so the safety floor is high even on the base Visia.
All variants share the same MacPherson strut front and twist-beam rear suspension, a 50-litre tank, and 700 litres of boot space (unladen), so ride quality and practicality do not change as you climb the range.
You also get a foldable key, idle start-stop, rear AC vents, and a height-adjustable driver seat as standard, which is generous for an entry trim.
What changes variant to variant is largely the engine choice, transmission, screen size, and cabin materials, not the fundamental safety or mechanical package.
