Updated August 7, 2026

The Mahindra Scorpio-N facelift, priced from ₹13.69 lakh to ₹25.49 lakh (ex-showroom), retains its rugged body-on-frame DNA while bringing long-awaited cabin upgrades. Below, we've broken down every variant from Z2 to Z8L.
The updated interior gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital cluster, a 540-degree camera, and a panoramic sunroof. Safety includes six airbags, ESC, hill hold assist, and Level 2 ADAS on higher variants.
Power comes from a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol or 2.2-litre diesel engine, paired with a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox, with optional 4WD. ARAI fuel efficiency is rated at 12.1 kmpl for the petrol, while the diesel returns up to 15.94 kmpl.

Scorpio N Z2

Z2 exists for buyers who want Scorpio-N road presence without paying for features they won't use. You get a 7-seater layout, ESC, dual front airbags, and Mahindra's proven diesel or petrol engines, but no side airbags, no touchscreen beyond a basic 22.86 cm unit, and steel wheels.
This is a taxi-fleet or company-vehicle spec, not a daily family driver. If you're a private buyer, the jump to Z4 for a genuinely usable cabin is worth stretching for.

Scorpio N Z4

Z4 adds real creature comforts over Z2: cruise control, electric ORVMs, rear wiper and washer, and a rear spoiler, plus the option of a 4WD diesel manual, which is unusual this low in the range. But it still runs on only front airbags and a monochrome cluster, so anyone cross-shopping safety scores against a Safari or Grand Vitara will find this trim underwhelming despite the added convenience kit. Worth it only if 4WD access at this price matters more than crash protection.

| Engine & Transmission | 2.0L TGDi Petrol MT/AT, 2.2L Diesel MT/AT (2WD), 2.2L Diesel MT (4WD) |

Scorpio N Z6

Z6 quietly adds a rear camera, drive modes (Zip-Zap-Zoom), a sunroof, and electric power steering, all while keeping the price gap from Z4 sensible. It's the last variant before Mahindra starts gating the meaningful tech, so treat Z6 as the ceiling for buyers who genuinely don't care about touchscreens or connected features and just want a comfortable, well-equipped Scorpio-N for daily use. Still no side airbags though, which is a real gap at this stage.
| Category | Z6 Specs |
|---|---|
| Engine & Transmission | 2.2L Diesel MT/AT (2WD) |

Scorpio N Z8S

Z8S is where the Scorpio N starts to feel noticeably more premium. It upgrades to the new 12.3-inch HD touchscreen and 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, while also adding connected car tech, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, side and curtain airbags, driver drowsiness detection, and an e-call SOS function. The infotainment system was one of the biggest criticisms of the earlier Scorpio N, and this larger, more modern setup is a significant improvement.

Scorpio N Z8

Z8 fills the gap between the well-equipped Z8S and the more premium Z8T. It adds dual-zone climate control, keyless entry with push-button start, auto headlamps and wipers, a wireless charger, and TPMS. If you're happy with these comfort upgrades and don't need features like ventilated seats or the Sony audio system, it remains a sensible middle ground. But it drops the petrol engine entirely, offering diesel only, which narrows its appeal considerably.

Scorpio N Z8T

Z8T adds most of the facelift's major upgrades, including the new 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, 12-speaker Sony audio system, ventilated front seats, an electronic parking brake with Auto Hold, front parking sensors, and the option of a 4WD automatic.
It also retains premium features already introduced on the Z8, such as the 12.3-inch touchscreen, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, wireless charger, and keyless entry.
For most buyers, it offers nearly everything the Scorpio N has to offer without stepping into the higher-priced Z8L. The latter mainly justifies its premium with the panoramic Skyroof, 540-degree camera system with Blind View Monitor, and the full Level 2 ADAS suite.
| Category | Z8T Specs |
|---|---|
| Engine & Transmission | 2.0L TGDi Petrol MT/AT, 2.2L Diesel MT/AT (2WD/4WD) |

Scorpio N Z8L (6 & 7-Seater)

Z8L is the only variant with the Panoramic Skyroof, 540-degree surround view with Blind View Monitor, and the full Level 2 ADAS suite: forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and traffic sign recognition. If those features matter to you, it's the clear step up from the Z8T.
The only decision left is seating layout. Choose the 7-seater if you regularly need the extra seat. Choose the 6-seater if you prefer individual captain seats in the second row and rarely carry more than six occupants.
| Category | Z8L Specs |
|---|---|
| Engine & Transmission | 7-seater: 2.0L TGDi Petrol MT/AT, 2.2L Diesel MT/AT (2WD/4WD) 6-seater: 2.0L TGDi Petrol MT/AT, 2.2L Diesel MT/AT (2WD) |

Every Scorpio-N, from the base Z2 to the range-topping Z8L, sits on the same body-on-frame platform. You also get identical crash safety fundamentals across the board: ESC, ABS with EBD, hill hold and descent control, front ventilated disc brakes, dual front airbags, ISOFIX mounts, and seatbelt reminders for every seat.
The 2.0L mStallion petrol and 2.2L mHawk diesel engines are shared too. What you don't get lower down is the safety kit that actually intervenes: side and curtain airbags, and any form of ADAS, only arrive from Z8S upward.
Warranty, Dealerships, And EMI Of Mahindra Scorpio N
The Scorpio-N comes with a standard factory warranty of 3 years or 1,00,000 km, whichever comes first. Mahindra's Shield programme lets you extend this to 5 years or 1,50,000 km for a price, and the cover is transferable to the next owner if you sell before it lapses.
